Hi Guys how are you ?
I am building my website right now and want to target local cities as permlinks
like this:
domain.com/city1
domain.com/city2
domain.com/city3
and so on...

The question is , If I will write a good article , can I just copy and paste it and change the keyword and permlink to the city name?

Which means I have 1 article .
That spread to at least 3-5 times on my website but with different main keyword?

Hope you guys understand what I want...
My Enlish is lame. :/

In general the answer to your question is no, nevertheless as I explained in another post you are facing what is called The bald man paradox that says: "How many hairs should a man lose to be called bald?" applying to your exemple :"How many words shouls I change to be considered the text as original?"

Must people do it wrong so I would not recomed you to do it.

Of course big sites toss out your advice....with good reason.

Ever hear of gasbuddy.com? They have a zillion websitess with the same
basic content. All that really changes is the cities gas price...the rest is
      the same.

Do a search for gas prices. Then something like gas prices los angeles.

Google knows gasbuddy owns a zillion of them....and who cares?

People need to study the real world, real websites.

Sure dominos changes a few words, but it's just spun content. And they all
      include:

Operating more than 11,250 locations in over 75 nations worldwide, we know what it means to be the best. Turn to Domino's for (city) pizza delivery or carryout from our restaurant and you'll get the best we have to offer. Pick up the phone, order on your smartphone, or place your order online!

      Why reinvent the wheel?

Don't do the duplicate content thing. The big G does not like that and you will struggle to rank those pages and your site in the SERPs.

Try spintaxing the article to make each version unique (but you must put in the time to do this properly). Each article must make sense to the reader.

If you don't know what "spintax" is just google it and you will find lots of info.

WOW I am more surprised that you were able to write something, showing that you may be illiterate since you clearly did not read my answer:

I told him most of people do it wrong (and according to your post you are one of them) if you analize your example, you will see the site has a very well designed silo structure, and backlink strategy, besides that the content on each location is different, furthermore in order to make it work you need more than just change a few words, that is what OP was saying in his question, that is why I said, dont do it, because you need more than that.

You are always the same Paul, just somebody who arrive to the party to scream that the party sucks but never doing anything to create a better party.

Write 3-5 unique articles and make each one specifically relevant to the cities they are targeting.

If you are going to do it you might as well do it properly?

There are 2 questions in your question, but you're only thinking about 1.

From an SEO point of view:
SEO city 1 and SEO city 2 are not competing, therefore, Google should show both of them, each for its own keyword. Of course, Google might decide one it's redundant because of the similarities, so it will not show 1.

In real life, I've never just changed the keyword, I have pages that are, according to a variety of tools 70-72% similar and Google's, each targeting a different city and, so far, Google's been showing them on page 1. If Google gets more finicky, that might change.

But, as I said, it's been months and months, and so far, 72% similarity when targeting different keywords is working... Now, I've never tried to rank, from the same site, a page for the same keyword as one of these pages that has 100% different content... Maybe I'd have had an easier time getting and staying in the top 5.

But, there's the question of visitors... If they see the same stuff, it's not going to tickle them pleased. As a matter of fact, some of those 70-72% duplicates have not sent me any callers. On the other hand, a few had and, the revenue, in relation to the cost, says, "Keep it up, Mac!"

But that might have to do with my writing skills or other personal factors. So, maybe, in your case, your visitors are going to say, Mother duplicator! and run away from your site.

Or, maybe, you're better than me, and they will not care one bit.

So, that was a long way of telling you, it depends, run some A/B testing, then decide.

Oops, I didn't realize that was a paid forum thread.

Anyways, here's the Domino's Pizza URL example on the paid forum thread. They have some good on-page SEO going on. Notice the Domino's URLs & how they silo out too all the different states/cities.

        [edit]
Lol, somehow I missed the part where OP wants to copy/paste a single article over multiple pages. Not happening If you plan on ranking pages long term.

You may not want to hear it.

Just write a unique article for each city.

This is a bad practice and Google will recognize it immediately. It is the definition of duplicate content, which they don't like.
