Yo whats up fellas!!

Is there a limit to how many categories you have?

For those of you who use a website silo, how many categories do you think is too many?

Im in a big niche, and i only scratched the surface of all the things i want to cover, but its beginning to seem like a sh*t ton of categories.

Does it really matter how many i have? Will it matter? Does it matter? Hello?

PS. This question is mostly for those of you who use a website silo. My category pages are the landing pages to my main keywords.

EDIT: Doesn't matter.

I forgot how to use google. Also thanks yukon.

I don't think about the limitations. But I use about 16 categories in my blog.

It's a big niche, try get in by finding a sub-niche in the niche.

There wouldn't be a maximum number of categories to use, but if some of the categories are tightly related, try and parent one of them, and create a couple sub categories.

ie, Category > Subcategory > Post

Try build out a few categories at a time, with subcategories and content. Might help you see progress a little faster. I'd recommend building out 3 main categories, with a handful of subcategories filled with content. Once you have this, focus on another 3 main categories, and just keep going from there.

These days, it seems like as long as you can keep it cleanly linked on the homepage you are alright. No doorway categories!
