Having keyword in URL is important in terms of SEO?
Is it the MUST to get good SERP and good traffic via Google as well as via Yahoo?

    Hi Amenda,

I agree that having your targeted keyword in your URL provides much SEO benefit, I wouldn't go as far as to say it's a "MUST". There are other considerations, particularly related to branding that can often override the value of a keyword domain. I think you need to take it on a case-by-case basis.

Using an effective marketing campaign you can cause a brand to perform far superior to a keyword. However, if your are trying snag targeted traffic on a shoestring marketing budget, using a keyword domain is the way to go.

It will make the job of ranking in the SERPs a whole lot easier if you can get a domain name with your target keyword in it. Sure, it's not an absolute must, but why not give yourself every advantage possible?

I was told it does have many benefits however if you are trying to brand a product, or yourself, it can be beneficial to have something more related to the name you are trying to brand just as easily.
