HI all,

I have improve the ranking for several keywords with enough traffic volume to expect an increase in the organic traffic. Several of those are in the top 3.

I was expecting a bigger change in the income traffic due to this. However, the increase is not very important.

I tried changing a the meta tittle and meta description but no big change neither.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

How about your keyword search volumes?

If keyword has 1000 search volume per month and it is on first page first you can get 15 visits per day.

    1000/30 = 33
If we assume 40% click on the first result that may be 13-15 visits per day

(This is not an extract value but we can roughly imagine this much of traffic come to the site via that keyword. If you don't have proper title and description that will be reduce). If it is in 2nd position that traffic reduce to half.. may 7 - 8.

Those numbers would help me. I will recheck everything again. I'm working for an international company working with different pages in different countries.

I see more traffic in all the countries except one and I can't explain it.

As you say, the important keywords are around 1000 visits months and they are around 50 of those that i'm tracking.

First make sure that your webpage has placed on top when you made search in Incognito mode/Private browsing.

It may possible cause, your top ranked keywords have less searches or high competition.

If all is fine then optimize your title and meta description tag again and make sure that you don't have wrong data in your Analytics.

If you increase the rankings in the search engine then automatically some traffic has been added for your website

Maybe the traffic levels you have for your keywords are wrong. Use several free tools to compare traffic levels,

Always try to get traffic from other sources also except only search engines. Sometimes no one can understand why rankings and traffic are dropping without any penalty.

Could you be choosing the wrong keywords? Some keywords / phrases are searched by people with buying intent while others are just looking for information..

E.g. if you target buyer keywords when your website title/description is about giving out information (e.g. blog post) then you're targeting the wrong people.... and vice versa.
