The name of my site howdoidate.com no longer describes adequately what the site is about.

I have registered the domain names letstalkliving.com and letstalklifestyle.com that reflect what the site is about more accurately.

I'm worried about the impact on my Google ranking if I change to one of these new domain names.

What do you think?

Of course your SEO would be affected. You're talking about abandoning your old domain & associated blog and shifting over to an entirely new domain and blog right?

If you can avoid changing domains then please do because it can and will impact your rankings. However, if you really do have to do it, then do a thorough redirect of each individual page from the old site to the new, associated pages. Try to point as many of those old backlinks as you can to the new associated pages. Keep everything else as is, and copy over the whole site. Be prepared for a drop in all your rankings.

On a non-SEO related note, a domain containing "stalk life" or "stalk lifestyle" may have some other connotations.

I have done this before (changing domain names) without affecting rankings much. You will need to do a full 301 permanent redirect for all the webpages pointing to the new domain.

Use 301 redirects from old doamin to new domain and also do a website transfer in your Google webmasters account to prevent ranking depletion.

I have no idea why people think like this. When you start playing the domain name
game, you are going to go in circles. What's next, letstalklivinglifestyle.com?
