confused on analytics

one of my keywords average position is 1.8 with 5 impressions so shouldnt that be on the first page when you type in thyat particular keyword in google? but my website isnt showing up

    Average positions is not the same thing as SERP rankng, though I understand how easy it would be for a new marketer to confuse those different metrics.

    If you visit a web page, save it in your bookmarks, and then perform a keyword search for terms included in the page title for that bookmark, it will likely show as one of the first results in your "personalized" search results. That is an example of how a web page that does not rank well, might have an average position of 1.8, yet not show on the 1st page SERP rankings.
