I noticed a site ranked highly on google. I noticed another site (site 2) on page 1 for same term as original site (both have same owner and ip), so they have 2 sites ranked on google. No big deal.
But 2nd site came out of nowhere (wasn't in top rankings before) and its a virtual clone of original main site. When you click on 2nd site in serps it redirects to main site (yes I know this could be 301/302 redirect).
I say clone because, 2nd site cache pages are identical to main site (all the pages)..down to url schema (but whole 2nd site is redirected to main site)
what could this be? all backlinks for 2nd site (are same as first site) in fact none of backlinks even mentions the 2nd (clone site) of all the ones I spot checked.
how are they doing this? I don't think its 302 hijacking.
