Google can crawl and index the text in flash file so it is important to place your main keywords in the text but don't do stuffing. Also, its better to embed flash files into HTML page. Obviously its difficult to do on-page optimization of a flash website but not impossible. So best of luck!

Google might be able to get text from flash sites, but is there anything on the site? It's just a few pretty pictures in some sort of viewer. That's very hard to rank for anything but the obvious brand name.

Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.
Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

    What's your excuse?

Google can run javascript, scan pdf, decipher text in flash.....
but it does not in any way, shape, or form, mean they will
      on your site.

As far as flash goes, kill it on your site.

Sure flash is still on plenty of sites, but man, in 2015,
the problems are just too many to list.

I would not keep it going "just because."

      10 000 000 000 000 000 flies eat cow dung.

That does not mean I have to.

I have not done much reading on flash in a while, but mobile
was a huge issue a year or so ago. I have no idea if it
      still is.

Kill flash before it kills you. Just because other (big) sites
get away with it, is no reason for you. One of the very
few things I will not follow big sites on.

Use HTML5 instead. You can also use Adobe Edge to convert flash to HTML 5 in most case.
