if you have some real good PR backlinks (+4) as offsite seo then in my own experiance anywhere between 3-5 weeks. If you depend only on onsite seo then i have no clue to be honest. goodluck!

Nowadays you have to be very careful when doing seo for new sites. You need to do your offpage in a slow and sure way. A rule of thumb is don't start any offpage seo campaign until your site is atleast 3 weeks. To hit page 1 for new sites, it takes 2 to 3 months (According to what I get). For more faster results, use Youtube or other trusted web 2.0 properties.

would like to tell you that it depends on keyword volume/niche market/location. A general answer would be, you can see some minor changes within 3months but any major ups and down.

Offpage - its quite difficult to say at the present scenario, but if you can invest 1month of time in developing one very good quality of content, then within a short time you can earn some valuable links.., probably it will take more than 6months to see any change via onpage/off page.

One of the most common questions on WF SEO, and it remains impossible to answer properly no matter how many times it's repeated.

Everything depends on website, project, content, strategies, and resources. I've seen new websites that immediately took their target market by storm, but that's not very common. They got "real" links from fans, clients and partners.

Usually you can see some development in three months. Does that count as "boost" in your book?

Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.
Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

    What's your excuse?

It depends on the keywords, but a 3-month expectation for change is reasonable for most keywords out there. I advise getting a rank tracker to see if you are moving.
