Well to be honest - I had a few issues with my merchant account but its all sorted now but my suppliers increased his prices for the lcd tvs - So im actually hunting around for new suppliers. I have sourced a few and updated my prices and am just waiting for things to kick in.

My unique visitors is about 600 a day so all is going well. Just need to make sure I get the right suppliers. If anyone can help then I will be very greatful.

Sales are still ok on certain products especially my JVC lines. I have great prices for these.

Im also looking to introduce other lines so its gonna be busy between now and xmas.

Im sure you all know that Aug is a very slow month with the holday season and especially this year with the financials market state.

Something that I am looking at is to give finance through a certain company but the only downfall is that they take 30 days to pay you. So if i was to give 30 customers finance on a £500 lcd then im sure you can see i will be out of pocket.

      lets see anyway

      Your questions are in bold

Originally Posted by tmssj2002 View Post

      1. how do you target to rank in different countries search engines?

If you have a .com domain and i think you will be able to do this with .org .info and other domains which are not already location targeted such as a .co.uk or a .ca etc - this can be done through your google webmasters account.

      2. how much commission (%) are you getting from each sale?

In regards to your commission question then I actually stock alot of my goods. I buy them and keep them in storage at the companies premises. So I give my own special offers and am in charge of the profit levels. Of course you need to remain competitive in the market place so im always checking out my competitors. The only thing is that my suppliers increased there prices so many of my products are not competitively priced or there's not alot in it for me. However its still running strong.

      3. how do you find such affiliate programs?

I dont know - I never knew what an affiliate programme was until I got introduced to IM - I have been selling goods on the net for some time now and got into Internet marketing when I started to have issues with payment processing. I suddenly couldn't sell so I had 0 income. I promised to make more streams of income so if something went down I still have sources of income holding me up.

      4. how many sales on average do you clock per month?
I have on average 4-5 sales a day and on the good days I have more. The turnover is massive but the profit is not so good. IM is much more profitable - you can basically make thousands from pennies. Of course I don't make near as much from IM then I do from my appliances business however I still earn a nice chunk from CPA - site flipping and working on 3 peoples sites for there SEO. Im getting into IM much more now as I can see the potential and the potential is much more then selling appliances. When selling appliances you need to deal with customer services - shipment- warranties- returns- complaints-buying- sourcing and much more. Where as if you master many Internet marketing techniques whether it be site flipping - selling ebooks-CPA or other affiliates work then you can run most things on auto pilot or with affiliate work then everything is handled by the company you are promoting or product you are promoting.

one of the biggest differences about IM and something like owning your own store and selling products is from my view point a massive time saver. If you can get different streams on income to work on auto pilot then there's not much work in it for you other then a 5 hour shift or so a day.

This is a great forum and has taught me much. If there is one piece of advise I could give anyone then that is just do it. This forum is full of guides and people going out of their ways to help us all. Read, digest and put it to action. In a month or so you will open a thread about making your first £5k month. Dont just read all the useful information on these forums make use of them and set yourself a target.

Im sure there are better niches to choose from then lcd tvs - less competitive and more fruitful- either way there is no secret - The good thing about the net is that you can go into whatever niche you want and copy whoever you want - you will get there if you do it right - But yes one thing about selling products is that your supplier contacts are gold.

You lost 40lbs by buying a cheap lcd tv - well done!! I hope it wasnt due to the fact it was cheap so it kept breaking on you so you had to go up and down from your house to the repair centre...lol

maybe for your GEOIP location, but not here. you're no where to be seen for the first 10 pages.

and besides, it's not 70,000,000, it's a lot less than that.

      Hi,

SERPs can vary for each country but not much like this.

According to me position can vary by 5 to 10 but not like in a country first page and in other not in top 10 pages.

      Is it possible ?

      Thanks

Yeh your right its not 70,000,000 its actually 71,000 000 - Im not sure how to check the serps for where you are but i normally use a proxy then go to google and do a search that way.

Whatever im doing I am doing it right - if i was having visitors from America then I would have a massive bounce rate as soo as they see the £ sign. The majority of my traffic is from the UK which is the only place I sell to

When I am on my other laptop I will be able to take a screenshot and show you. I am now on position 4. If there is anyone in the UK then could you please take a screen shot if you can

A link wheel as according to my own explanation is linking things together with each other and your money site. So for example you may have a squidoo lens- hubpage-wetpaint and go article. You would link each one of them with each other and your site. I personaly backlink my web 2.0 sites and also bookmark them too. I always optimize my link wheels for 1 keyword only and have found myself on the first page of google about 3 times before all at once for the same keyword. Once with my website- squidoo lens and hubpages

You have to be a little careful when searching from the same PC every time. Google IME "remembers" sites you have visited yourself and puts them towards the top of your search. So, if you have been clicking on your site from within the Google search results then Google remembers this and keeps your site at or near the top. I hope that makes sense to you,
              regards,
              Anthony

And I don't think the competiton is that hard, at all actually. Well according to what is showing on page 1 for me.

With that being said, WHO CARES what I, or anyone else thinks, as long as you are happy (and hopefully making money) then more power to you!

I've seen you make these claims before. While I don't doubt it is MUCH less than 71 million, I still think you should "prove" to everyone what number it really is.

Your posts seem to come across as arrogant from time to time. Which is fine, I can admire someone who has done the hardwork to get to a point where they know a ton of info. But why keep "betting" people, just show us so we can all learn something.

I was helping people, it was you insulting me. I don't take kind to insults and I simply stepped in to prove you wrong. That's my effort to help ppl to deter their mind away from listening to someone like you who think they are right, when in fact you were wrong. And hey, if you don't like the way I talk, don't read what I have to say. I speak my mind, and my mind doesn't pussy foot around those who go insulting me - I dont have the patience for that.

Why should I listen to someone who knows less than I do - ie, you.

I know more about SEO than 80% of this forum. I make a bloody good living off it. I have sites that receive over 12 million visitors per month, combined. I think that makes me an authority in SEO.

I have taught HUNDREDS of people who to do SEO who make a good living off their sites, or have improved their visitor hit count.

I got all high and mighty because of your insult. Don't ever call me arrogant. I speak my mind as I say, i do this because I suck at English, it's not my strong point. If you were to hear my words in voice as I type these to you, you'd understand that I am being nice, low toned in voice, sincere.

But since you don't know me, you will take my words stronger than they appear to be. **** happens I guess, story of my life, ho hum.

My message would of got across a lot better if I could type English comprehension a lot better and had a greater use of the English Vocabulary.

So chill out man. Stop taking words at full value for the negative.

When I do a search his site shows as the first result on page 3.

      Google shows 71,200,000 competing sites.

    Thats excelent.

Keep getting those backlinks and maybe try for some other keyphrases too for each individual page per product keyphrase. Then you will be laughing

Wow, nice work! Did you start off targeting "cheap lcd tv" or targeted individual products and as your site gained more authority went for the big terms?

    Hmm thanks alot guys.

No its ok mate i dont want a bet - its not gonna make any difference to me. Either way im on the first page for a very high competitive key-phrase if you ask me. Key phrases under a 1000 competition i take as low competition.

If your using the quotes before the key-phrase then you keep looking at it that way. I stopped that a long time ago.

Yes I started to target cheap lcd tv some time back. but im gonna actually make a small clip to show you some other words.

    Here we go

You are selling high ticket electronic items. I wonder whether you have problems with returns and chargebacks?
