Site cannot recover from PANDA until next algorithmic update?

Hi, I suspect one site of mine might have been hit by one of the infamous Panda updates... the one that happened around July.

I haven't got a single click from organic search since then, and very good articles of mine are ranking in page 20...

So, is is true that, no matter if you fix everything that was wrong, you won't recover in the rankings until another refresh/update of panda is launched? Which could be many months away...

I've read that several times and makes some sense, but of course would make it very frustrating for me to work on a site that may have been blacklisted for the next 9 months...

pd. The only reasons I can think of for having been penalized are that I have a couple pages in my site with very little content (less than 150 words). They are the list of articles, disclaimer page... Perhaps I should deindex these?

Thanks!

Yes, it is true sites generally won't recover from Panda until the next time Panda is run.

Having pages with less than 150 words is not going to get a site hit by Panda though.
