How I Generated **2,000++ Visitors / Day in 3 months...

The biggest challenges of doing online business when first started is Traffic, the question is always: how do you increase website traffic? You need to jump start traffic to get lead, and lead to get sales.

While conversion is very important, but, unless you are the supernoob in web design, any kind of website should generate a certain amount of sale, if you have enough traffic...

Simple Formula of Profit:

Profit = Traffic X Conversion

That's why traffic is the most important factor here, you can tune the conversion later, but without traffic, you don't get any sale!!

I would like to share with you some of the tips and tricks I learn from Warriorforum that helped me generated more than 2,000 visitors / day. Please note that this formula can scale up and Increase Website Traffic to 3K or even 10K visitors / day if you have done it correctly!

All traffic generated from Search Engine, and I am going to show you how...

Keyword Research

I am going to keep this brief, just take note of these points:

  1. Traffic is relative to your selected keywords, not just how high it ranks.
  2. Keyword must be targeted or your conversion will drop like H... something.

The fastest way to generate keyword ideas - spy and reverse engineer from the successful marketer. I normally generate tons of nice keywords from Ezinearticles.com, but this method doesn't limit you from generating more keywords from other popular web 2.0 sites, see for more information.

Generate 100 high traffic and profitable keywords in **ONE minute.

1. Locate the most viewed articles in your base keywords, using this search term:

your-keywords site:ezinearticles.com "Submitted On * *, 2009" ""Viewed 2000..199999 times"

Usage your-keywords site:ezinearticles.com "Submitted On * *, year-of-article-submitted" "Viewed start-view-number..to-view-number times"

I learned this from Jack Duncan: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ss-spying.html

2. Put them into Google keyword tools to find more related keywords for that most viewed article.

3. Repeat the steps and compile the list of keywords.

Fill up your excel sheet until you have 1000 keywords and start to filter out unrelated or untargeted keywords.

Pick 10 of 3 words long tail keywords that fit this profile:

  1. broad match of 10 millions or less competition
  2. exact match of 50K or less competition
  3. allintitle match of 10K or less competition
  • Broad match example: dog training
  • exact match: "dog training"
  • allintitle match: allintitle:dog training / intitle:dog training

We use these 10 or more keywords to build linkwheel on web 2.0 site or feeder site where each has its' own domain.

So which is better? Build a new site for the sole purpose of getting rank high in search engine or web 2.0 properties?

Web 2.0 properties gives you faster ranking and you can generate thousands of links in a day without getting filtered.

Your own domain will take 2 to 3 months before you are trusted, and getting thousands of links might not show until you gain "trustrank" from Google, btw, if you want to build feeder sites, remember to use different domain and hosting service provider for each site you created, you want as unique as possible! (You can use the same provider if you only want traffic and don't mind link juice not pass from these site)

Pick 3 closely related 2 or 3 words keywords that fit this profile

  1. broad match of 50 million or less competition
  2. exact match of 200K or less competition
  3. allintitle match of 80K or less competition
These 3 keywords will be use on your money site - homepage, and your article on homepage should be optimize to for these 3 keywords.

You also need some LSI keywords for "on site optimization"...

LSI keywords will help Google build a better profile for your site in long term, you will start to rank for many related keyword terms that are not in your link building campaign, and very powerful for long term strategy to increase website traffic:

1. Quintura - visual search engine
2. http://www.kwbrowser.com
3. Thesaurus.com
4. Google

Google search will list the related keywords in category at the bottom of the result page, you want to use these as your category when building a new site.

The link from your web 2.0 properties or feeder sites should have the major keyword that you want to rank to your site, and you can build more web 2.0 properties to link to the LSI category.

Fueling your site and get ready!

Now is the time to kick start your site traffic, find and get high PR authority links from your competitor with Yahoo site explorer, Tom Brite's Unlimited Backlinks and Kurt's Links has some great resources to locate backlinks, or simply just get these great WSO to help you find backlinks:

1. Angela Backlinks
2. Paul Backlinks
3. Steve's Backlink Goldmine

or any kind of High PR backlinks collection. SENuke has added 400+ profile backlinks nuke, but a bit pricey...

Now plan and outsource all your backlinks to elance.com or odesk.com, or Winson Yeung backlinks service (Highly recommended!)

You can always do the backlinks yourself during the testing phase, sharpen your skill and you **must** outsource or use automated tools like Angela & Pete automated link service or Francis Murray's automated link service to get the process rolling faster!

Amplify your backlinks sources to 10 times!

If you only have 1,000 High PR backlinks on hand, the best way to turn these into 10K backlinks is building each web 2.0 properties with 1K of links, with 10 sites, you have virtually 10 times more link power that are concentrated into your main sites, jumping your site high in the SERP !

Depending on what kind of link resources you have on hand, you can increase your competition power in the search engine.

The Guidance of competition is relative to your link resources and link power you have on hand, and linkwheel will help you amplify the result!

I personally generated as much as 2K visitors / day, and this equal to great profit! However, this doesn't happens overnight, plan your strategy carefully and you should be able to do the same and increase your website traffic in 3 to 6 months time. If you are looking for faster result, try building more web 2.0 properties and less focus on your main site, you can get traffic a lot faster!

  • Awesome information Mr. Kok Choon,

I especially like the fact that you emphasized generating this type of traffic takes time to build up. A 3-6 month timespan is very reasonable, and those who are new should take time to let this sink in and realize nothing happens overnight.

Hmm... where did Bill Gates get his ideas from again... oh yea, he reverse engineered the Apple from Steve Jobs. Where did Steve Jobs get his ideas from? oh yea, he got them from Xerox. I wonder who Xerox got their ideas from...

    Jared

P.S. I have a little treat for those who liked Jack Duncan's thread...

For those who are having trouble with the code Jack shared (or if you want a quicker way to use this technique), here is an easy to use script I put together, with 10 of the top article directories you can search by views/date/exact phrase/intitle... much quicker than copy/paste/edit...

Affiliate Niche Monster - Hot Article Search

Let me know of any other top article directories you think I should add to the search list.

    Enjoy!

  • Hey Kok

That was really so good. There is a bunch of work in there to get the whole thing up and running but it's so worth it. Doing all that work for 2000 people a day in traffic can make a big difference on the bottom line.

And it's so true that it is not an overnight process. It does take time for it to all work through and for the sales to start flowing, but when the money comes, it is so great.

    • Thanks Norma! Glad you like it!

      Wow, are you serious?

Yes, the process may take a bit long to see result on your website, however, you can speed up the process by using linkwheel, and focus more long tail keywords on linkwheel (Web 2.0 properties).

You can rank faster with web 2.0, and get traffic in weeks.

Yes, it takes a lot of time, testing and patient. To game in the search engine, you need to create multiple sites and promote it parallel, together, and you will see result without waiting...

    • [1] reply
    • I mean filter 1000 keywords to 10 or more long tail keywords for web 2.0.

and from these 1000 keywords, find 3 major keywords for your website, that are closely related.

This is not law of physics, you can adjust it according to your own needs. Because we just reverse engineer the most viewed articles, getting a lot of targeted keywords is easy, I can generate 5K keywords just from these articles...
      • [ 1 ] Thanks

  • This will be so useful to me, thank you for not making us pay for this information! What do you mean about turning 1000 links into 10,000, web 2.0? I don't get it. If you have time, please explain!
  • Hey Jared,

Thanks again for sharing some great tool! I really like what you have to share!

What Jared is helping us here is expand our keyword research with long tail keywords for the linkwheel, and long tail keyword tends to rank faster.

And using the long tail keyword, we can easily link back to the money site with the more competitive root keyword.

Try dog training and you will see a bunch of long tail keywords, pick some of these keywords as your articles on web 2.0, while link back from these site with your root keyword "dog training"!

This is just an example, if you really going for dog training, it may take you ages to rank - 5Mil + of competition with both exact and allintitle search!
  • Awesome great share and thank you!
  • Locate the most viewed articles in your base keywords, using this search term:

    your-keywords site:ezinearticles.com "This article has been viewed 2000..199999" "Article Submitted On: * *, 2009"

Huh? I am not understanding what you are going on about at all. can someone please state this another way? It sounds great but I have no idea what he means by this...

what does he mean by "your keywords site"?
  • Ezinearticles has a section that let you see which are the most viewed articles in that category.

When an article received "most viewed", it received tons of traffic, you want to reverse engineer that article, finding what are the keywords that send them traffic, and you want a piece of it!

How do you find the most viewed article that are keyword targeted? use the formula here:

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ss-spying.html

This is brilliant and credit goes to Jack Duncan!
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Kok Choon,

GREAT post! It seems it's a really solid plan to bring traffic to your website.

I do have a questions regarding this method. When creating those web 2.0 pages, do you have a different article on each of them or the same?

    Thank you
    Gellert
    • [1] reply
    • It doesn't matter... if I do it by hand, I would write unique articles for each keywords.

However, I use SENuke, and let this program create unique article for me, and spin across all web 2.0 sites.

I do this to get multiple listing for the same long tail keyword,

If your article is not "unique" enough, Google will not show multiple listing. Using spinning articles is good if you have automation tool.

The best way to get more traffic is unique articles for every keyword you target, that will maximize your traffic and backlink effort.

  • Thank for the answer.

OK, I just want to make sure I understand everything:

    1. I get 10 2-3 words long keyword using your criteria
    2. Get 3 2-3 words long main keywords
    3. I write an article related to each keyword, thus I write 10 articles

I have one more question related to creating those web 2.0 properties.
Lets say I create a squidoo page. Do I put all 10 articles on it, or I have to create 10 squidoo pages?

Thank you and I appreciate your patience!

    Gellert
    • [1] reply
    • Hi Gellert,

You need any of these 10 different web 2.0 properties:

      1. Ezinearticles
      2. Hubpages
      3. Squidoo
      4. Tumblr
      5. Wikispaces
      6. Blogspot
      7. Wordpress
      8. Wetpaint
      9. GoArticles
      10. Webs.com
      11. Blog.com
      12. ArticleBase
      13. MSN Spaces
      14. Article Alley
      15. Amazines
      16. Easy Articles
      17. SearchWarp
      18. LiveJournal
      19. Vox.com
      20. Xanga

You spread it out for good back links power. When your link is from different class c ip address, different domain company, different hosting, it weight more! That's why all 10 articles should be spread.

Then you need as much back links to each properties as you can, I would recommend my own Nuclear link booster or Angela & Paul backlinks, as well as Steve's Backlink Goldmine.

Get as many back link collection as you can, outsource it to someone with reasonable price, like Winson Yeung services as mention in my first post.

You need to spend time / money to build these up, I can't tell you which is worth for you, you must decide to do it yourself or outsource the backlink building.

Beside proper keyword research, link is everything. You need massive backlink to rank high, and rank high to get massive traffic.

    • Nope, I don't have an ebook for sell!

You can get my backlink package, and I will send you an advance SEO ebook free for you. Or you just go to my blog, subscribe and you get the same for FREE!

I can't tell you everything here... because the topic is too broad. I have spend hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars to learn these information, do you expect me to pass it to you in just few words...?

Take your time and learn bit by bit, experiment yourself. Sometime the same word may meant differently for different people, you need to experiment before you can actually know what I am talking about.

Don't think too much, just try it out, fail hundreds time and you will know the path... or spend thousands of dollar, take the courses or read the e-books, it may save you 20% ~ 30% experiment time, but you still not going to see the whole picture if you don't try it out for yourself.

      Hope this answer your question.

    • Great post, kkchoon. I have developed a similar strategy. The linkwheel system, when implemented correctly, is attractive and scalable. It is very effective; I don't doubt that it is a sure-fire way to number 1 spot for just about any keyphrase... if you put enough work into it.
Keyword research must be top notch, as you don't want to be wasting six months on nothing.
I have used my own variant of this to rank for an extremely competitve term in three weeks. Trouble is, my keyword research sucked. Working on that! :p

  • Article marketing is a way to promote your website and product using article hosted on article directory, and in the hope of get pickup & mass distribution to other websites, or simply just to rank high in search engine and "steal" search traffic.

A good article marketer must know this:

    1. Where to get traffic, what keyword to use
    2. How to do onpage optimization for the article
    3. How to use AIDA formula to maximize click-through and generate sales
    4. How to do backlinks and offpage optimization

If you know these elements, you can get 100 of thousands visitors just from 1 article!

    1. You need to do keyword research, find searches no less than 3,000 with the lowest competition you can get, I would target any keyword with 50K exact match or less, and allintitle match of 10K or less.

    2. Pick 3 keywords per article that matches this criteria and are closely related, so I can write 1 article and optimize for 3 keywords.

Put your main targeted keyword on these areas:

Title, 1st Paragraph, middle Paragrah, Last Paragraph

Put your other 2 keywords on any 2 of the above mention areas.

This is suitable for 400+ words article, for more word article might need to add more keywords in the paragraphs.

    • Hey Tom, Thanks for the compliment! My ebook talks more about LSI and keyword research, you can use the knowledge and integrate with the Linkwheel strategy, maximize your result!

  • By now you should know this:

    Traffic X Conversion = Profit

Keywords + Content = Traffic Targeted Content

Traffic Targeted Content X Backlinks = Traffic

Bottom line, you need a lot of mixing types backlinks to your site to rank high and get traffic!

    1. Directory submission - Recommended Directory Bot and Directory Maximizer
    2. Article Submission - Article Post Robot, Automatic Article Submitter
    3. Software Submission - HTML Executable, Promosoft
    4. Press Release - Press bot
    5. Video Submission - TubeMogul.com | In-Depth Tracking, Analytics for Online Video | Web Video Syndication
    6. Linkwheel building - SENuke
    7. Bookmarking - Bookmarking Demon, Autopligg
    8. RSS Submission - RSS Submit
    9. Blog Networks - MyArticleNetwork, ArticlemarketingAutomation, Linkvana, Backlink Solutions.
    10. Ebook submission - **PLEASE FILL THIS UP
    11. Podcast submission - ** PLEASE FILL THIS UP

These are the more "automated solution", which takes less time to do, but able to distribute across many websites!

When doing backlink building, you need to mix your links, if you do only one of the above linking, you might not see great result and will risk Google dropping your site!

That's why mixing High PR links are very important.

Mixed High PR Backlinks - Angela & Paul Backlinks, Backlink Goldmine, Nuclear link Booster.

You don't have to do all of these, but rather pick few automated tools and mix with your high PR link building campaign.

Automated tools don't give you good result for high competition keywords, but they do help to mix the links up! You don't want Google to find your site only linked by High PR sites...that is a big red flag for trying to manipulate search result.

Automated link building is great for its' automation, and shouldn't take too much time to do. SENuke is an extremely powerful software, you can do more with it, but you must know web 2.0 and SEO marketing well enough to leverage it and cover your cost - $127 / month...

  • Auto Blogging is a way to let your blog post on its' own, you don't have to write content from time to time! The concept is brilliant and I see many successful cases with Auto Blogging.

Jeff Johnson is the big name in auto blogging business, and his method is ... far to scrappy... because he scrap from all over the news content..

The best thing about this method is he able to discover a lot of long tail keywords with massive searches, and those keywords became part of his main traffic source!

I don't believe in Auto Blogging not until starting of this year, and I have learn some tricks about this method...

    Yes, Definitely!

Some might argue that their content is being out rank by the original author or site, but the key traffic to auto blogging is long tail keywords, not the major keywords of the original site.

You can use PLR articles, put it into autojetspinners and join contentboss service to create nice uniqued spin ready articles!

This will greatly increase your blog content uniqueness and gain high ranking for many keywords, a lot easier.

The Key to Auto blogging is content + backlinks!!

I always though you can automate backlinks for auto blogging, the fact is, you can automate part of it:

    1. Join Neurolinker - Auto 3 way link exchange system
    2. Use Auto Social Poster - You need to find dofollow bookmarking sites that allows you to repeat the posting to your own site.
    3. Bookmarking Demon - Alternative to auto social poster, better in a way to avoid your bookmarking account being banned! Auto Social Poster has this problem that your account being banned all the time.
    4. RSS submission
    5. Blog Network - MyArticleNetwork, ArticleMarketingAutomation, Linkvana, Backlinks Solution ...
    6. Blog comments

The fifth part of automated backlinks from blog network is extremely important, you need more backlinks from different class c ip blogs and websites!

    OR

You can join Paul & Angela backlinks, my nuclear link booster or Steve's Backlink Goldmine to gain High PR authority links!

The key to blog traffic is content + back links

I normally setup auto blog as a "traffic" hub to my main site, I used banners and links on every post to redirect the traffic to my money site, and sometime I promote affiliate product directly on auto blog.

No matter what people are saying about auto blogging, I have my doubt but is clear now that auto blog is a great way to generate traffic!

Authority blogging with unique and great content should be use on your money site, and auto blog to feed traffic to it, combination of both world can give you great result.
  • kkchoon,

this is great strategy...i especially like the idea
of the link wheel...as far as doing link wheel, i have
    2 questions..

    1) if you find 10 keywords...do you make a unique
page using one LTK (so make 10 unique pages) for EACH web2.0 site?

    2) is there a software that automates the link wheel for you?
    • [1] reply
    • Hi BJ,

There is no limit to how you build the pages, let's keep the concept simple:

      1. Your keyword research will determine your traffic amount, try to find decent search volume keywords that is under 50K exact match and 10K allintitle match, that will allows you to rank faster.

      2. If you have multiple pages on various web 2.0 sites targeted on the same keyword, you can have multiple listing on page 1! That is provided you have backlinks to all these sites.

      3. Your keywords on the linkwheel should be related to your website, the effect will be a lot better (better conversion, better LSI theme and better for Google making a profile for your site).

You can use any means of backlinks to your web 2.0 properties, if you want faster and better result, you better use High PR backlinks collection.

For automated solution, I wish there is an automated software for linkwheel building, the most automated solution I see for now is SENuke.

You can also join Pete & Angela automated backlinks, Francis Murray GoldDigger script for Backlink Goldmine... (WSO)

It takes time and effort to build SEO traffic, but once it is there, it can last for years...!

My web 2.0 properties will be the long tail version or some related keywords to my main site, and all properties link with my targeted keyword that I want to rank for my main site, normally is the "short tail" version and more competitive keywords!
  • alot of people do this by using twitter

  • The link wheel idea makes sense, but does it still work even though Squidoo links are "no follow"?
    • [1] reply
    • Hey thanks for the comment! I love SEO but not much experience with PPC, and I do it for long term planning... it works great!

My understanding of Squidoo is they allow only 1 dofollow link, and the rest you add will be nofollow...

Even so, some SEO marketer still thinks nofollow link is valuable, at least for other search engine.

For best result, get web 2.0 properties that are dofollow, but if you only aim for traffic and not back link at the same time, there is no difference.
  • hi kkchoon,

thanks for your great post and replies to everyone...it's
been an eye opening way to do marketing...

i am very interested in getting the senuke...like you also
    mentioned you use...

my question is...if you use senuke, do you use the LINK WHEEL as well?
such as making each web2.0 anchor text LINK to
    1) money site AND 2) another web2.0

OR do you submit to 10+ article directories having same achortexts (using senuke)

    3) you say submit 10 articles to web2.0 sites...does that mean 10 pages for EACH web2.0 site? so if you have 15 web2.0 sites...total 150 pages?

    thanks
    BJ
    • [1] reply
    • If I use SENuke, I would multiply what I am gonna do...

      1. Prepare 10 original articles into 10 linkwheel sites.

      2. You will build your backlinks to these sites using High PR backlinks packets.

      3. Use SENuke to create seed article for these 10 articles, spin and distribute it with another account to all those web 2.0 sites in SENuke, you might want to change the article title to more long tail version of the original keywords.

      4. Use SENuke to bookmark, submit RSS and Profile Nuke all the sites, and you will be able to rank well for these sites too... just don't expect much traffic, but the backlinks to the main site still sweet!

You want 1 article on each web 2.0 site (excluding the spin articles), and the spinned version on other web 2.0 sites...

Google give little link juice for all link from same site, that's why if you spread 10 articles across multiple site, your backlink is better, if you put them on the same site, it will not be as good!

Don't put 10 articles on the same site, you just don't need to...

This is just what I recommend to use SENuke with link wheel, if you feel this is complicated, just write 4 articles, and each article will be targeted for 3 keywords, and then generate spin it across all web 2.0 sites.

      4 Articles X 3 Keywords = 12 targeted keywords

Each articles may have 10 ~ 20 version, and you may target each article with different keyword(s).

There are no limit to how you use SENuke, but I highly recommend you do it manually until you know every bit of this strategy before signing up with SENuke, or you might not fully utilize the tools.

Using SENuke + Linkwheel strategy is too complicated, I seriously recommend you mastered the linkwheel strategy manually before going automated!

      - Kok Choon
  • thanks kkchoon...

    so basically...your recommendation is...

    1) do linkwheel strategy alone with 10+ ORIGINAL articles (where EACH original
    article is in ONE web2.0 site...the 2nd article in the 2nd web2.0 site...the 3rd article in 3rd web2.0 site...and so forth...basically 10 total pages (1 page PER web2.0 site)

NOTE: also to make sure the backlins for EACH web2.0 site is 1) money site & 2) another web2.0 site according to the linkwheel

    2) after doing step #1, create spun versions of the 10+ articles...

    3) submit each spun articles using SENuke...and do all the other senuke things...

    is this correct?

    BJ

ps...for link wheeling, do you just use a general 1-2 word keyword or a LONG TAIL keyword to lead to your MONEY site & another web2.0 site (according to your linkwheel)...
    • [1] reply
    • You read me right!

The general rule of whether it is 1-2 word keyword or not is depend on which you want to rank!

I want my money site to rank for more competitive keyword, but my content must be "focus", although more general keywords tend to convert less, you are actually targeting those buying keywords of the general terms, your content should focus on those buyers...

Just link with the anchor text that you want to rank, it is all about the traffic...

One rule in mind - traffic, what traffic you want?

      - Kok Choon

  • Many people look at keyword result on broad match, but I seldom use that because it doesn't really tell your actual competitor!

Who is your competitor? Certainly those include their keyword in the title, url and highly optimized it in the content.

That's why initial keyword research, you need to focus on exact match, allintitle / allinurl. For me, I do research based on exact match and allintitle only, just to get some rough ideas about the market.

What is exact match? exact match is the keyword exists in the content exactly the same order, and we view it as one unit - "dog training advice" as one big unit.

This result will give you some rough ideas of how many sites contains the keyword, and may compete with your site.

This command will tell you precisely how many websites are optimize for this keyword, and they are direct competitor!

Title is extremely powerful in SEO, if you include the keyword in it, you have more rank power, that's why I view this as my direct competition!

    command:

    allintitle:yourkeyword
    intitle:yourkeyword

Another way to look at the exact match for intitle

    intitle:"yourkeyword"
    allintitle"yourkeyword"

There is no fix guideline here, depending on how much resources you can do to rank for the keywords...

My own criteria to pursuit the keywords for my websites are:

Exact match of 200,000 or less
Intitle match of 50,000 or less

Anyone care to share their criteria for references?

It is all about how you want to get traffic, some people will do more extensive keyword research and aim for a lot of long tail keywords, create tons of contents for those keywords...

This strategy is widely use by article marketer, and they need a little or no backlinks to get laser targeted traffic that convert like crazy!

Other like Adsense publisher would prefer more competitive keywords with tons of search volumes, because Adsense needs massvie traffic...

    • Sorry, but I am new in this business and I don't know many things. What is
  • Hey Kok,

This is quite an interesting post, the link wheel and EZA keyword extraction methods are brilliant.

Nevertheless, I disagree with this point:

Are you saying 10 powered up web 2.0 properties of your own (with 1k backlinks each) backlinking to your main site, is more powerful than 1,000 authority sites doing so directly?

    - Dan
    • [1] reply
    • Hey Daniel, thanks for dropping by! You are clearly the one I would refer to in SEO, have learned a lot from you!

My point here is: You have limited resources, (Let's say you collected 1,000 High PR backlinks), after you put these 1,000 backlinks (Such as Angela & Paul Backlinks) into your main site, you still can bring in more link juice if you do the same 1K links into web 2.0 sites, and push each linkwheel ranking up, empower the link juice from each web 2.0 properties!

That give your site even more link power, and each Web 2.0 property will rank high as well, bringing in traffic and link power at the same time.

I don't think even 10 sites with 1,000 links will have a true 10K link power, but this is a way to increase your link juice - If you have limited link resources.

      • [2] replies

  • Nope, you can get traffic as fast as 3 days, and normally I would suggest you give it 7 days.

3core thing - Pick the right long tail keywords + compelling articles + article to High PR web 2.0 site.

First thing first, you need to find good long tail keywords that allows you to rank on page 1 even without any backlinks!

Put your long tail keywords into Google keywords tool, find the long tail version of your current keyword.

Do exact match and intitle search, if allintitle falls in a competitions of 200, you are alright!

Now do a normal broad search for the selected keywords, if you see any articles hosted on web 2.0 sites shows up, you are targeting the right keyword.

Try to use a different web 2.0 property than the one that shows up, you have greater chances to rank!

For example, I use "natural anxiety cures" and put it through Google keyword tools, generated these long tail keywords:

    1. natural cures for depression and anxiety - exact: 167K, allintitle:88
    2. natural remedies for depression and anxiety - exact: 296K, allintitle:139
    3. herbal remedies for depression and anxiety - exact: 259K, allintitle:68

These keywords seems nice to me! I can use it to create a compelling articles and still look naturally when including them in my article.

May people didn't know that you can break all these keywords into words, but when you write it, you must put them in the order... For example, the "natural remedies for depression and anxiety", you don't have to put the exact keyword on the post, you can however do something like this:

natural remedies is more prefer method to cure depression and anxiety

See how the keywords fits right into the article? The order must be correct or the keyword might not rank well...

All these 3 keywords must be blend into the article naturally, and should be exists in the Title, first paragraph, middle paragraph and last paragraph!

If you can do this with all 3 keywords, that's a preferred choice, however, if it looks weird, just pick the first keyword in the title, and other 2 put it in the content (The 1st keyword should be in the content too).

You can rank high with this formula even if you don't have any backlinks, think about the possibility if you have the ability to do backlinks and rank for more competitive search terms, and a lot more traffic!
    • [ 2 ] Thanks
  • It's so great information. So hard way and need to curious to do that. I'm appreciated and will come back to read the post again.

    • [1] reply
    • Hey guys, thanks! hope to see you around...!
  • Hi, thanks for this great info.

With a magazine-style WP site, is this the correct way to implement your strategy:?

I've compiled a dozen keywords that match your explained profile (<10 mil broad, <50k exact, and <10k allintitle).
Using these keywords, I write articles as posts.
Then link building to the inner page (mysite.com/post).

By matching the profile, and from your experience, how much link building to the inner page--and time--will it take to reach page #1.

Of course, SEO is not too predictable, but are we talking simply 15-25 PR4^ backlinks, submitting article to 20 directories, and perhaps TheRichJerksNet's bookmarking WSO, among others... or something closer to doing that, repeatedly week after week for 3 months?

    And some quick newbie questions:
My keywords are all two words, not three. Does this matter?
Does back linking to my homepage help the inner pages climb up?

    Thanks again!
    • [1] reply
    • Who cares.. as long as your site looks nice!

I think you might need to read my post on the filter of competition again...

I have 2 sets of rules, one for main site, another for linkwheel sites.

I don't really care about that how many backlinks the site need, I just throw in all the backlinks I have, for instance 1,000 High PR back links!

It doesn't matter how many words, you just keep your competition filter clear and that is good to go!

I normally let my site go for highly competitive keywords - 200K exact match and 50K allintitle, that is a lot!

However, those articles on linkwheel - 50K exact match + 10K allintitle.

With 1,000 High PR links to every linkwheel and main site, I will rank high for most keywords if not all, and flooded with thousands of visitors everyday!

  • You can build as many links as you want, that just show Google how popular your site is, it won't get you banned!

Absolutely! When your site is new, the most important factor to not get filtered is the number of post you update everyday, not how many links you get.

When your site is new, you must keep your post number down. Maximum 1 post per day and after 2 months, you can increase to 2 post / day.

In these 3 months, keep the post low and your site is OK...

I have 1,000 Back Links Resources, Should I Do it At Once?

I would recommend you spread it across 5 days or more, that would look more natural...

Nevertheless, if you build all links at once, and the next day none, you may trigger Google "probation" system; You get a lot of visitors for 1 day or 2 days but the visitors dropped significantly in the follow days...

If this happens, just find more High PR authority links, and keep building it until you don't experience Google Dance.

Some sites may experience result floating up and down over few days, and may dropped out of the result for a period of time, that's Google Dance.

Don't freak out and pay too much attention, just keep building links, it will stay and stay long, eventually!

    Great info OP! Thanks!
  • Great! Hope this helpful to you all...
  • FYI, I still get my main site sandboxed after doing this, i.e., sending hundreds of links to web 2.0 properties like Squidoo, Hubpages, etc. that are linking to my main site.
    • [1] reply
    • If your site is new, just keep building links, tell me in 2 weeks if your site still in sandbox, I will show you a trick to get it out - instantly!

BTW, I am 100% pretty sure you do something on your site:

      1. Adding too many articles too fast (more than 2 articles / day).
      2. Trying to link back to other back links page.
      3. When Google sudden "temporary" filter your site, you do on page optimization... if your site suddenly dance around or get filtered, don't freak out and do anything on page, because you are proofing yourself to manipulate the search engine! (against Google terms)
      4. This is important - You didn't spin your link anchor text / deep link, and all links are without direct url <= if all anchor texts, Google will suspect something funny going on...

The best cure is keep building High PR links, don't stop. If building a lot of links will get your site banned, do it on your competitors!!

If you still believe doing a lot of backlinks get your site banned, do it for your competitors, the one who ranking #5 or above, and you will see them rise, not filtered!

  • I forgot to ask, if you get 1000 backlinks, how do you spread them to the link wheel sites and to your main sight? What is a good distribution for this? Or do you get 1000 backlinks for each link wheel site, and a few 100 for your main site? Please elaborate on this. Thanks again!!

It depends on how competitive the keyword you are after, I am throwing my maximum links to all web 2.0 properties and also all links to my main site. Most of the keywords I am going after are highly competitive and I also want a lot of link juice to my main site.

If you just start out, with minimum time and budget, you can try 100 links to each properties, and all links to your main site, as your site starts to making profit, increase links to all properties...
  • Great! I did spend a lot of time preparing it...

I use wordpress, have tried Joomla once, just not familiar with it! Use any kind of tools you like, if it works for you, that is the one!

    - Kok Choon
  • What if you had a great forum post, can that be put it in the link wheel and build links to that post to get it ranked higher? or is this only for web 2.0 sites like mentioned above?
  • link wheel = web 2.0 sites.

You can put your forum post there, but you should rewrite the content or you need a bit more backlinks to rank well... because the content is already exists.

Use keyword rank tracking program like web ranking or rank tracker.

All search result is relatively accurate, I use Market samurai for more accurate prediction.

Don't be greedy, you need to segments your keywords, group them into category and pick which to put on link wheel, and which to put on your websites.

Create content for them. You need to plan your strategy accordingly, not all keywords the same.

There are 3 type of keywords:
    1. Research Keywords - Anxiety, Anxiety Treatment
    2. Compare Keywords - Anxiety Treatment Review, Product Review
    3. Buying keywords - Purchase Product, Buy Product, Product Discount, Product Promo

For affiliate marketer, we only choose comparison and buying keywords, the research keywords should be left alone for Adsense type of sites...

This is an excellent read particular the part about doing keyword research by back engineering your competition first then firing up your favorite key word tool.

I have a question about on site linking. There has been talks about Silo style websites with catagories and there are many on both sides of the fence who have there various opinions.

Would Wikipedia be a good example to use as far as on page linking? Is Wikipedia a good reference to build a Silo style site with internal linking?
  • Wow! You should be charging for this info! Thanks!
    • [1] reply
    • Wikipedia is definitely one of the best example of Internal linking and LSI profiling, thanks for mentioning that!

May be some people though that LSI doesn't exist in link building, but my experience tells me they are a way to help Google profile your site..

As well as the anchor link back to your site, it is all about profiling and authority of your site regarding certain topic, that's why Google able to provide and categorize "Tiger" and "Tiger Woods" as non related keyword.

Thanks for your support, just to return the favor to the community!

Yes, Link Wheel will let you get traffic faster and gain link juice at the same time, that makes it a great strategy to build traffic!

Try to rewrite it, you can easily outsource people to rewrite article for as low as $1!

Unique content is very important, don't be confused by the unique content myth, but unique content is very important and has became part of Google algorithm.

Outsource is the key to mass scale success in SEO, when you know how to get traffic with link wheel strategy, you will be able to scale up the process by outsourcing it!

It normally takes about $3K for me to build a link wheels + website, and in return generate $1.5 ~ $2K / month income for me, that's a great investment!

How much money do you think I would spend on my website? as much as possible...!

    • KKChoon - thanks very much for all the information here. You explain things very well for a newbie like myself.

One question I have on one of your earlier posts. Could you explain what you mean by:

"4. This is important - You didn't spin your link anchor text / deep link, and all links are without direct url <= if all anchor texts, Google will suspect something funny going on..."

In my first linkwheel I have created, all the links pointing to the next site in the wheel have the same anchor text. Is that a mistake? I thought keeping the anchor text identical would add juice to those keywords but it looks like you are saying that by not mixing it up a little i am risking being flaagged as spam links.

      thanks again
  • Can I use the same article I submitted to ezine in my web 2.0 property? Is it a bad idea?
  • Lets say I have made 1 linkwheel with 6 web 2.0 properties. No i want to make another linkwheel around one of my ezine articles, am i aloud to make new accounts for the same properties that i used for the first linkwheel or should i use a proxy or something?
    • [1] reply
    • The sky is the limit! Do it as you want, but there must be a purpose...

We use link wheel because they have high PR and allows you to put your article, and that means you can easily rank high for your article.

If you build another link wheel to support ezinearticles, I don't see the point here. You can put your article on first link wheel and rank fast, why would you want to create another link wheel? it doesn't make sense...

Proxy is good to avoid spam to a certain site, Google has no access to each site IP record, you don't have to do that.

How fast you can build your link wheel is the key, and the key to that is outsource... time is money!

      - Kok Choon
  • ok i won't build wheel to my ezine article. I want to raise my article in search engine, can i just build some backlinks to it?
  • Hi kkchoon,
I have couple of questions regarding your Nuke product. So for this Nuke linking, do you blast the backlinks to your web properties which then link to your main site? Or nuke the main site directly? I guess my question is how many link wheel urls can we give you to nuke? Can it be spread evenly across all link wheel properties?

    Thanks!
    • [1] reply
    • My "Nuke" product is actually a collection of 600 High PR sites, I have yet started the "Nuke" service

It depends on how competitive your keywords are, you can always overdo the link building and keep yourself ahead of competition, or you can just put sufficient backlinks to out rank your competitor, and save yourself some cost!

When my back links service is up, you can nuke as many site as you want, it all depends on the cost, and I am still in the process of preparation, can't reveal much at this moment... stay tuned, will let the warriors know...!
  • Ok I am interested in this product! I also saw this automated link wheel software posted, it builds link wheel automatically with articles submission, etc. And then you can nuke blast those properties. Do you recommend this product? Or are you building your own automated link wheel software?? This saves a lot of time as it can take from 3 to 8 hours to build a link wheel manually using Angelas backlinks.
    • [1] reply
    • May be I am not hearing you right... a link wheel property for 3 to 8 hours? How many web 2.0 sites do you have for a link wheel? 20+?

I use SENuke to post articles to web 2.0 site, and I don't really link all the web 2.0 properties together, some did link together but mostly I just link back to my main site.

Then I start setting up the link campaign for each properties, including the main site, and usually it takes 5 to 10 days to complete with outsource.

Try to leverage outsource, including the link wheel building, I saw few great WSO that build link wheel for you, and you can try to search for it in the WSO forum.
  • Yes for 20+ web 2.0 sites for the link wheel But maybe I just start small, about 6 sites or so. And I thought you needed to link the web 2.0 properites together? I guess you can link some and not others, but linking all of them might be better?

And if we want to purchase your nuke product, do we need to purchase seperate product for each web 2.0 property? Or can we purchase one 600+ package, and you can spread out 600+ links across lets say 6 web 2.0 properties?

    Thanks for the info!
    • [1] reply
    • Start small and scale up is the key to fast success...! Linking the wheel or not doesn't really matter, it just give each other a push, and I guest link it would give each property more link juice.

You can do it anyway you want, the key is your keywords' competition...

For the service, I will try to come up with some flexible packages so you can benefit from every way!

That was really so good. There is a bunch of work in there to get the whole thing up and running but it's so worth it. Doing all that work for 2000 people a day in traffic can make a big difference on the bottom line.
    • [1] reply
    • I always told people to outsource. You start small and learn what is working, give it 180 days to learn and tune your skills, most people give up too early and jump around different methods, that will actually hurt you a lot!

Select a method to generate traffic and income, stick with it and try to figure out what is working and what is not, then use outsource to scale it up, that's how many Warriors including me are making money here...

Group learning is very effective, anyone care to share their learning experience?
  • Will you be making more packages in the neer future?
    • [1] reply

In fact, I like to share something here:

A friend just PM me about select a broad match keyword with 900K+ competition, and he uses Angela & Paul backlinks to target that keyword, however, he is wondering why there are nothing showing up after 2 weeks of hard work...

After taking a look into his keyword, I was shock that the:

      exact - 400K+
      allintitle - 70K+

That's why you can't rely on broad match for competitive analysis. This is extremely high competition keyword, and shouldn't be targeted when your site is new!

I may take a new site 6 months to rank for this keywords, that's why building link wheel and finding the correct keyword competition is very critical to the success of this strategy...

Find some low traffic and low competition keyword to start with, learn how things work and scale up the competition and backlinks, you will be successful in shorter time!

Focusing on the right link is better I guess. But the idea is great that
    is to build authority site.

    Azim
    • [1] reply
    • This is nothing new, many Warriors knows that we can easily beat authority site to rank for certain keywords, because we are:

      1. More relevant in topic, you have clear LSI and groups structure.
      2. Your backlinks is from High PR authority.
      3. Your backlinks anchor text is targeted.

That's why eventually you can out rank other unrelated high PR authority sites, even you have less links and less authority!

Building your own authority site is best way to expand your competitiveness because you can easily rank for many long tail keywords without back links, and content became your powerful weapons for traffic!

Link wheel strategy tends to get your site up and run faster, getting targeted traffic faster and gain more power link juice, that's why many Warriors had great success with it!

  • When we first getting into Search Marketing, the most frustrated problem is getting your site rank for the keyword you want.

A proper keyword research must serve these purpose:

This is the most important key, yes, I say it again - the key to all search marketing success! No matter if you are using PPC or organic traffic, you need to find a low competition keyword.

The problem is, what makes it low competition? How do you determine that? I would suggest you find any thing that:
    • Has an exact match of 10,000
    • Has a allintitle match of 500
You can easily rank for these keywords, just don't expect much traffic from it. When you first started, getting your page or site rank on page 1 is the most essential thing, because you need this experience - How to rank on page 1, even if that keyword is worthless!

You need decent search traffic to make your effort well worth it! However, this is relative in every niche market, just compare amongst many keywords and get the 100 top most searches as a start.

Remember to keep the competition as low as possible while you see decent search count.

With combination of BUM marketing, using the on page optimization technique with proper keyword research, you can easily rank your article even without backlinks!

This is where the power of BUM marketing comes in...

However, What if you can build backlinks to each article, and going for higher searches and more competition keyword?

You can easily write a highly optimized article (for both search engine and reader), build tons of backlink to it and get thousands of visitors every day, just from an Article!!

BUM marketer tends to write volume of articles to accumulate enough long tail search traffic, but advanced article marketer will use backlink power to rank their article and attract tons of traffic! Save time and effort...

Learn and sharpen your skill in keyword research is the key to search marketing, if you are not good at this, start research for more information and do the experiment yourself, see what kind of searches and competition will bring your effort the maximum return!

    • Determining the # of sites that are optimized for a keyword matters most before entering a market. It's not hard to rank high for a keyword even if there are millions of results, as long as there aren't many sites that have the keyword in the title, url, anchor, etc and their backlinks are weak. Passing up keywords because they have tons of results is the way to miss out on a lot of income.

    • You are welcome! Just take a bit of time each day to research on it, I think you will learn a lot faster!

Why not? Unless myspace is nofollow, you can use web 2.0 properties to host your content. If you don't mind no link juice pass to your site, you can use any kind of High PR sites to host content for faster traffic generation!

    • 3 to 6 months is the grand strategy, the master plan, you can get traffic as fast as days to weeks, it all depends on how you do the keyword research, prepare the article and where you put your article.

By using Web 2.0 properties, you can leverage its' ranking power. In previous post, I did mention about how you can get your article rank high without any back links! That's all up to keyword research - Finding extremely low competition long tail keyword with decent search volume...

If you can rank article without back links, think about what if you can build back links to your articles? You can aim for higher searches and more competitive keywords, your choice of keywords will be a lot more!

Keyword research is the heart, the blood and everything of all search marketing, try to pickup keyword research before you do anything.

    • Hey, another happy Warrior!

You can get any number of visitors you want in 3 months, it all depends on your strategy, resources and most important - keyword research!

Brainstorm as many keywords as possible, and using the spying method as shown in first post, after that, cherry picking those keywords that allows you to easily rank high, outsource writer to create content for each keyword, and then create link wheels!

Using article marketing to quickly tap into search traffic and start generating revenue while building your main site content and backlinks. When your site first started, it can host too many content, link wheels became the best choice to host content for traffic.

As your site gradually grow, you want to focus more to it, building more content and start generating organic traffic to your site!

BTW, many search marketer overlooked the list building process, which we all should be implementing. Start collecting email and contacts with autoresponder, follow up with your list using great content, and finally monetize the traffic!

For beginner, I recommend using Squidoo page as your website, don't go through the tedious process of creating website, earn money first!

Use BUM marketing to earn some cash before drilling into technical stuff, because you can outsource all technical stuff later!

      Simple make money formula -

Low competition high search keywords + keyword optimized articles + High PR Web 2.0 Content Site = Traffic

Traffic + Conversion (AIDA article) = Money!!!

      - Kok Choon
  • Q1.
Is it recommended to build links to all your articles if you're writing alot of articles? or just a few that you want to rank?

    Q2.
Also, when building links to rank for a certain keyword, does it matter if you use anchor text when building these links? FOr example, when using angelas package you can use anchor text when putting your link on those hi PR sites. Does google care if the links you are building are anchor text links or just basic links? Or do you just have to havee your link on there and thats good enough for google....?
    • [1] reply
    • To get a lot of traffic from long tail keywords, you need a lot of keywords but not backlinks, because those are low competition keywords that you can easily rank on page 1 even without back links!

If you want your effort to pay off, you must find decent traffic keywords to create your own article (AIDA article), and build backlinks to make it rank!

I normally outsource long tail article and write my own with decent traffic keywords, and outsource the back links to my article too.

Using proper anchor text is extremely important, it gives your article higher rating for that keywords, and you need less links to rank high for that keyword, as compare to random keyword or just url link.

Having said that, you still need to vary a bit on your anchor text, do use the same anchor for all backlinks. 80% for your main keyword, 20% of url or any random but related keywords, and your site is pretty safe!

      - Kok Choon
  • Is there any benefit to linking articles to web 2.0 properties?
  • 'm thinking of linking my articles in together to bring them all up in the search engine. good idea?

and all articles also going to my squeeze page.

Would eezine alow me linking other ezine articles together and also having a link to my squeeze page? they alow 2 links?
  • Thanks for sharing this info with all of us.
    • [1] reply
    • You are complicating stuff, it won't help much than just give another link to your article...

Unless you mass distribute it to many directories and website, which may give your article a bit boost, but that's it!

When you build backlinks, you can outsource and submit low cost low quality articles just to get a link back, but that would take a lot of time as compared to High PR site links.

Remember the KISS formula - Keep It Simple Stupid!

Just do things the simple way and you see result faster

      You are welcome!

There are no other ways simpler than BUM marketing - An SEO article to tap into Search Traffic!

Find post #94 and learn the tricks, then go get bunch of Long tail keywords and outsource it.

Remember post #37 - Article Marketing 101? Use the formula to write SEO keyword optimized articles.

Outsource 100 ~ 500 articles optimized with the post #94 keywords picking technique, and instantly you get 300~ 500 visitors / day - If each keyword had 1 to 5 visits / day!

From here you scale up your competition with back links.

Next tiem, you pick keywords with more search and slightly competitive, instead of allintitle - 200, you pick allintitle - 1000!

Do the same, find 100 keywords and outsource them with post #37 - SEO optimized articles, get them back and post it to web 2.0 / article directories.

Now you go out and outsource someone to build 10 ~ 50 High PR backlinks to "EACH" article, wait 2 weeks or so, you get 1000 visitors to your site - pure from article directories or web 2.0 sites!

While doing the above, you also want to research some more competitive keywords, using the filter rules of post #1

      1. broad match of 50 million or less competition
      2. exact match of 200K or less competition
      3. allintitle match of 80K or less competition
And use these kind of keywords on your site! Don't expect to rank on page one if not for another 3 ~ 6 months! You just want to keep building as much links as possible to your main site until it rank on page 1 in Google.

      All hard work, no exception.

Whether to link all the link wheels or articles together is your preference, it won't affect much.

Remember this - Start small to find what is working, and scale up!!!

    • Advanced marketer use High PR Web 2.0 to host content, rank for traffic and finally gain link juice from it back to the main site!

Building authority sites are long term strategy, which every search marketer should have, or at least planning to do! With authority site, you can easily add keyword targeted content to increase your traffic, because you already had the rank power!

      - Kok Choon

  • This method involves using multiple articles to tap into search traffic in the shortest time, that's why you need to find extremely low competition keywords - with allintitle less than 1,000!

Launch your keyword tool - Recommended Market Samurai, start brainstorm and generating bunch of seed keywords to expand into long tail keywords.

Now, put more effort into finding bunch of keywords, and set these filters accordingly:
    • Daily Searches to 10 and above
    • PBR to 40% - Meaning at least 40% of the keyword searches is exact match.
    • SEOTC - 1,000 or below.
    Export the keyword list accordingly.

Repeat this steps until all keywords list exported, merge them together by copying each exported file into the new merge file.

Now sort the new keyword list by broad match, select a range of top 100 searches, and sum the broad search count.

Continue to add more keyword in the list until you have 1,000 searches! We double the search count to ensure we get the desire number of visitors / day.

Now, open a new excel file or worksheet, group those keywords together whenever possible (Maximum 3 keywords in 1 group), this will allows you to write less articles and able to target more traffic / article.

Next, you are going to outsource all articles at elance.com, post a project of "30 SEO articles required".

You need to hire multiple writers, don't just outsource all articles to 1 writer, that's why your project should be a title of 30 SEO articles!

Download this outsource sample I personally use: Outsource Article Sample

If you want hassle free, clearly stating in your project you need them to post your articles to article directory or web 2.0 sites.

After they finished the article, and probably already submit those articles for you as well, you should get them update the outsource file with url from each successful article submission.

You will give this report to your outsource team, and ask them to build 30 ~ 50 High PR backlinks to each articles!

At the same time, launch bookmarking demon and put all urls from the report, and start bookmarking all articles.

Remember To setup article tracking with Market Samurai rank tracker

Sit back, wait for 1 week and run the rank tracker to find your articles

If your articles is not rank in 1 week, run second outsource of 30 ~ 50 backlinks to those articles that are not show in the Rank Tracker. In most occasion, it will show within 2 weeks!

However, if your articles do not show in 2 weeks, something must be missing during the process, examine each steps and PM me if you can't seems to find the problem.

If you do this correctly, you should be able to get the number of visitors you want, within 2 weeks. There are many factors many affect your result, just fine tune it every time you enter and promote a new niche!

    - Kok Choon
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • i see above you target 3 keywords in 30 articles. Is this so you can cover the 100 keywords in just 30 articles. What if i did 1 keyword per article.... is that bad? Also in your excel sheet says 5 articlese in 10 web 2.0 properties. thats 50 articles.

right now i got 10 keywords i can work with. Is that too little?
  • thanks for share
    • [1] reply
    • Thanks guys!

Nope, that is not what I meant at all!

I post the title 30 articles, because I want more writers to work for me, and deliver faster!

I might need 100 articles to generate enough traffic, and hire 3 - 4 writers for it, each will deliver 25~30 articles in that project.

Recently, I use this method to outsource 50 articles, in some niche, I might need more... My target is to add another 500 visitors to my site in 2 weeks.

10 keywords might not be enough, unless you hit the jackpot and sometime you will!

      - Kok Choon
  • If you use 3 keywords in an article, does it make it harder to keep track of why some of your articles are performing well because you don't know witch one of those 3 keywords are the reason why your article is doing well. You are working with 100 keywords above, right?
    • [1] reply
    • I use Market Samurai and other tracking tools, not a problem for me

With tracking software, you know what articles is ranking and what is not, you can easily prepare and outsource more links for those articles which still not rank well on certain keywords.

If you don't have Market Samurai, get it, the best keyword tool I ever used!

      - Kok Choon
  • Are you saying the keyword you are targeting not in the top 10 or what? Can you tell us more about it?

Key to successfully implement this strategy is keyword research, you can download my ebook about Advanced keyword research on post #1.

Finding proper keywords with low competition is the key to rank well on page #1, you may gradually scale up your competition when you've collected enough High PR backlinks, just like my own collection (See signature).

With more backlinks resrouces, you can target more competitive keywords that generate a lot of views! That's the power of backlinks, will bring your site up high on the page!

All suggestion given by anyone should be relative, it is not a standard answer for all, but merely a good reference point to help newbie kick start!

  • Many people think that duplicate content that exists on other website should not be used on your website, or it will be penalized by Google...

    This is so not true!

If Google do that, many news site and blogs that shows such information will be penalized! However, we still find many duplicate source for news and trendy event.

How about pure duplicate content site?

Yes, pure duplicate content site might get filtered! Especially new sites without trust rank!

When you first build a new site, try to use unique contents, because Google is very skeptic about new sites. You must show unique content for 2 months and build high PR links to get trust rank.

Once you have enough unique content and gain enough trust, you can start to post duplicate content as you wish, and backlinks to it!

    This is how autoblog works...

So, duplicate content doesn't exists? Certainly not!

Duplicate content exists in 2 ways:

    1. Google SERP result - Google will only show 1 result in their top 10 SERP per article from all duplicated content sites. How Google determine to show the content will greatly depended on how many links each duplicated article received! And certainly the site profile theme would help Google to determine too...

    2. Google may decrease your ranking if too many duplicated posts on your website, I mean the same article posted twice or more...! If the same article exists in many places within the same domain, Google might only show one, and if too many duplicate articles on your site, Google may actually decrease traffic to your site!

Hope this post clear things up!

  • Kok,

Can you clarify a few things for me? Sorry if they were posted already, I've gone through this a couple times and still am not clear.

    1. After I find the 10 keywords to be used in my Link Wheel, is each link wheel made up of only one of those words for example keyword1=hubpage, keyword1=blogger, keyword1=squidoo, etc... Or does a link wheel consists of keyword1=hubpage, keyword2=blogger, keyword3=squidoo, etc...?

    2. If the link wheel uses a different keyword I know I link to my main page with one of the 3 keywords found earlier, but what do I use to link to the other web2.0 site? The keyword the linked to web2.0 site is about?

    3. And finally when searching the "intitle:" should I be putting my keyword phrase in quotes or not? I'm finding quite a few under 10k when using quotes, but not so many for my niche when I don't use them.

    Thanks again,
    Eric
    • [1] reply
    • PM send! Let me know if anyone else need to contact me

Thanks! I will continue to contribute more...

It depends on how much searches that keyword will bring in, if that keyword has hundreds of searches everyday, I will create a linkwheel just for that keyword - Using spinning and submission tools like SENuke. (There is a cheaper solution in WSO, I did mention the software somewhere in this thread)

For most keywords, I will use 1 article targeted for 1 ~ 3 keywords, and post different keyword targeted articles on all properties!

Most of the time, I prefer large volume of keywords than 1 single same keyword to build link wheel, having said that, it all depends on your keyword searches

The keyword link to your web 2.0 site is the one you want your targeted site to rank for.

We are not just link it for the sake of creating the wheel, but to help each other rank for that specific keyword!

I use allintitle instead of intitle, allintitle without quote.

Keyword research is very challenging and most people ignore this steps! Your success comes from extensive keyword research!

Try to think out of the box, use keywords you harvested and brainstorm more from those seed keywords! You can dig deep even with Google Keyword tool, you just have to re-enter the keyword again into Google Keyword tool.

For example, you enter anxiety, then you found anxiety treatment.

Next you enter anxiety treatment, and you found natural anxiety treatment, holistic anxiety treatment.

You enter holistic anxiety treatment and you found natural holistic anxiety treatment...

repeat the steps and you found tons of it!

Use market samurai to help you with keyword research, this is my favorite tool and I highly recommend it over other keyword tools! (For SEO marketer)

  • KKChoon You Rock MAn,.....And am really very impressed for your great contribution to this forum....

    I have a simple Questions.....

What's better choice for Competitor Analysis of Top 10 results for your specific keyword, either by using the results obtained through Allintitle search? or results extracted through Quoted Search?

Is it better to analyse competitors obtained from both results using above criteria? Or should focus on just one.....What do you suggest?

    Regards n Bless you!
    • [1] reply
    • Thanks for your compliment! Appreciate it!

I only perform competitor analysis with very competitive keywords, normally I don't really care about my competitor.

I like to get more keywords instead of targeting a particular high competition keyword! We can earn more money with more keywords than focus on hitting a particular keyword.

      Hope this answer your question!

  • Yes, something critical is missing from the new site

    - Trustrank!

New site below 6 months old is generally consider "untrusted". If your site already started to build links from low PR sites, most probably already been untrusted by Google, and that will put you under the probation - Sandbox.

If your site is new and you just started to build links, nuclear link booster package will help you gain "trust" a lot faster!

For any kind of new site, get link from High PR site first, as many as possible! Try to spread my package through a week, meaning you do 50 sites a day 5 times a week = 250 High PR backlinks!

Link wheel is one of the best strategy for new site, you can use the "trust rank" and Page Rank from these site to easily tap into Google Traffic, getting a lot of traffic to your new site while concentrating the link juice from these web 2.0 properties to your site, helping it to get traffic and links at the same time!

Research 20 keywords with exact match of 50,000 or below, or a intitle match of 10,000 or below, all with decent traffic.

    1. Wordpress.com
    2. Blogspot.com
    3. Squidoo.com
    4. Weebly.com
    5. Xanga.com
    6. Ezinearticles.com
    7. Zimbio.com
    8. Wikispaces.com
    9. GoArticles.com
    10. Wetpaint.com
    11. Quizilla.com
    12. Webs.com
    13. Vox.com
    14. Amazines.com

and any web 2.0 sites that let you host your keyword optimized article.

In each article, it will tap into the search result, and link back to your site. These web 2.0 properties will link to each other as well.

Now, use bookmarks and my high PR backlinks to each of these sites, (and your own site), you will have 20 X 250 links power = 5000 links (virtually) to rank for any kind of keywords! At the same time, you get instant traffic within 2 weeks!!

**Note: you can build as many backlinks or even spam web 2.0 properties to get fast result, it will never be sandbox even you spam it!

I normally would put high competitive keywords on my main site, and long tail keywords on web 2.0 sites, that not only help you get instant traffic, it maximize your effort of ranking for more keywords! (Although you might not be able to rank multiple results for the same keyword, but you get maximum list of keywords with less work)

BTW, if your site rank for certain keyword and later the result dropped or berried, and sometime dancing up and down, don't worry, just keep building High PR backlinks, I guarantee you in 3 months you will not only see your site rank high, but rank high for many unexpected long tail keywords!

Don't worry about getting too many links, although if you don't spread the link building evenly you might raise a red flag to Google, because you are still under probation! But that doesn't mean you will be sandbox. Just keep it consistent and you will be ok.

One thing to be noted: If you are building autoblogs, try to keep the articles posting rate to consistent, and start slow.

My experience tells me if you have 1 or 2 articles / day for the last 60 days, you are safe, any thing more than that you will prolong the probation period.

After 60 days, raise the posting rate to 4 ~ 6 articles until 90 days, after 90 days a 10 ~ 15 articles a day till 180 days is ok.

**Note: Don't post 20 articles a day in the first 60 days, may be someone has better experience, but most of my site will get into the filter for a period of time if I do that!

Hope this clear things a bit!

  • I have some beautiful sites I just made. I understand backlinks but I really feel I need a step by step method on how to get the right amount of backlinks from the right sources for each site.

Have you thought about doing a step by step WSO on this?
  • Thanks for asking! I'm still in the process to get more response before doing the step by step course, you can post your questions here, I'll try to answer them
  • Keep in mind that 1 way links are better than 3 way links such as the link wheel.

Provided that the one way link is the only outgoing link within the page it's on.

Matt Cutts said it himself, the link juice passed by the algorithm is divided by the number of outgoing links on that page.

That's precisely why blog commenting and forum signatures are not half as effective as they used to be (unless there is only your post on the thread/page).
    • [1] reply
    • So Daniel, are you saying that link wheels aren't as powerful? I don't understand why not. If you have high PR sites linking to you, and then to each other, I would think that you are getting lots of link juice back to your site.

  • Hey Daniel! Nice to see you again

I would prefer direct backlinks to my site in some projects, however, link wheel is still a best way to attract traffic instantly, when my own site is new.

When the main site finally received PR 4, I would concentrate more on building backlinks to my main site! Unless I need multiple listing on certain keywords, link wheel strategy will not be as effective as building your own backlinks directly!

Having said that, it all depends on the backlinks resources you have, and how automated you can be, when comes to backlink building...

This is an autoblog with over 10% duplicated posts, I think that's the main reason my site got filtered even I had a PR 4...

If you had an auto blog, try this plugin - Auto Delete Duplicate Post | Xoogie.net Blog

  • Silly question perhaps. When blog commenting there is normally a space for you to put your url so thats one link to your url.

Do you then try and slip your keyword in anchor text within your blog comment or just use the first link?

Also if you are sticking your keyword in your comment and it is totally unrelated how will that stick??
    • [1] reply
    • You are welcome! 2K visitors is not anything magic, if I can do it, you can too... just take your time and do a lot of experiment!

If you do any kind of comments, it must be on topic! Anything that is too general will be considered as spam and got deleted.

Putting keyword in your name is a way to go, however, it depends on the blog owner to approve your comment or not! That's why profile type link is very popular these days, it allows you to put a link without too much trouble!

Using great content to tap into High traffic, niche related sites like blog and forum is very important, especially gathering a list of authority sites that accept guest posting.

I appreciate all the advice you offer....I don't do complete linkwheels, but I do my own kind of organic owns (each is different depending on the results it achieves)

I will say, it would be easy for the big G to look at a domain, and the links pointing to each page in that domain to see if there is a pattern. If there is a pattern between inlinks on distinct pages, a penalty may be applied.

  • hey once again, excellent post. I use these links for my websites along with some other strategies but I was just wondering if you happened to know which works better. 3000 Profiles With 3 keywords to different sites or 1000 profiles with one keyword (To one site obviously).

Do you think the sites that have 3k backlinks pointing to them will rank better or the single site with 1k backlinks?

    Thanks
  • well i am using social bookmarking sites for this purpose
    • [1] reply
    • I don't see what is the difference? You still get 1000 links to one site, right?

I think may be you are asking whether 3K links with vary keywords is better to a site or 1 K link with same keyword...

      I would say 3K.

The more link to a page, the better ranking it will, even without the keywords, just direct url, Google will use on page factor to determine it's ranking. With keyword link, you can rank faster and higher with the same link resources!

Mixing social bookmarking with profile links are better, as long as it works for you
  • I have set up a chain of 10 web 2.0 sites linking back to my landing page. I have a list of around 1700 profile sites. I am going to have all 1700 backlinks built to my lander (Just one link on each profile). I could have these profiles done to each web 2.0 site but I feel like the keywords will rank if I just add the 10 web 2.0 sites to the 1700 profiles one time (10 links to each profile).

What do you think? Would the results be Much better if I did each web 2.0 site individually?

    Thanks so much
    • [1] reply
    • If I were you, do a detail competitive analysis on the top 10 result, let your competitor decide how many links you need for each web 2.0 site

If the competitor page has 1,000 low pr links, you just need to have 1,100+ low pr links (Assuming everything else is the same) to your page!

Balance between the time you invested and the result you gain, don't over or under do it, utilize the resources properly.

For your main site (money site), I would throw all links to it, each and every one, so in long term I will have an authority site that will auto rank for many long tail keywords...!

  • Hey kkchoon,

This thread is awesome. I just wanted to ask your advice on something.

I've had this site for over a year, and at one point was making some good money from it. I only get about 50 visitors a day.

I have really good keyword research and I get Angela's Banklinks. If you have time, I just wanted you to take a look at the site. I'd love your advice on what I should do to get it to the front page of Google for my keywords.

    The site is:

Free DVD Downloads | Watch Movies Online High Quality |Find Out Where to Download Movies Online

    Thank you!
    • [1] reply
    • Your site seems nice! I love the design!

If you are targeting these few keywords:

      1. Free DVD Downloads
      2. Watch Movies Online High Quality => Change to Watch High Quality Movies Online (Make more sense )
      3. Find Out Where to Download Movies Online

You should put 3 of your major keywords in the content, and since your site is not content rich site, it will be a bit difficult to optimize all 3 keywords! However, you should try to write naturally and repeat the keywords at least 3 times in the content.

Google seems to prefer a bit more on page optimization than before, you should always keep that in mind.

3 of You keywords are not related directly, it may take more links to rank high for each keywords!

I normally would do something like this:

Watch Movie Online => Main keyword

      Theme keywords:
      1. High Quality Movie Online
      2. Download Movie Online
      3. Watch Movie Online

When selecting keywords for your site, try 3 words or 2 words if not too competitive as your main keyword and theme keyword.

Convert the theme keyword as your category, and write article for long tail keywords of the category keyword.

      Example:

      High Quality Movie Online

Article1 - How To Find High Quality Movie Online?
Article2 - Watch High Quality Movie Online for Free!
Article3 - High Quality Movie Online - Is it legal?

      Download Movie Online

Article1 - How To Find and Download Movie Online?
Article2 - Online Movie Download Reviews
Article3 - Download and Watch Move online - For Free!

The theme keywords should have decent searches, and able to expand into many long tail keywords!

Building authority sites is not the same as doing BUM marketing, pure BUM marketing is good to drive traffic from article directories or web 2.0 sites to your money / authority site, you need only to pick random theme keywords that are loosely related to your site.

But, when you select theme keywords, you need closely related and decent searches, and the competition is expected to be higher!

When all set, you will first drive traffic from long tail keyword articles while building tons of backlinks to your authority site and wait for it to mature and rank on page 1!

Hope this few tips would give you some ideas

Are these websites still useful for backlining & SERP purpose?

    1. Directory submission with dofollow & high PR

    2. Article submission with dofollow & high PR

    3. Social bookmarking with dofollow & high PR

Please let me know your opinion.
    • [1] reply
    • Hi, I still think directory submission is important to vary links, but not really powerful for ranking page or sites...

Article submission still works, and will always work, just take too much time, if there are more automated way like content boss, definitely a must in all campaign.

Most social bookmarking sites are spammy, however, dofollow and High PR site give a lot of authority and link juice, well worth the time.

      Just my 2 cents...

    • Thanks! you should discover many nice keywords fast...

I vote for Keyword A to rank faster, however, the most accurate method to check competition is look at your top 10 competitors.

The number of sites have keyword in their content or title are just for quick filter of keyword list, and they are good for long tail keyword filtering.

If you want more specific competition data, look at the top 10 competitor for that keyword, you will have a better idea!

  • If you had 10 web 2.0 and did 1000 backlinks to each. Does that mean one should at least bookmark as much as possible or try to do all 10,000 to help index quicker?
    • [1] reply
    • Bookmarking links are no different from other type of links, you need to get it from authority site to have enough rank power.

You build backlinks to web 2.0 sites for fast ranking on secondary keywords with moderate competition, while using articles as 3rd keywords - you can rank faster with articles and get fast traffic.

Your main website is always the most competitive keyword, and web 2.0 properties will help to concentrate all link juice to your main site.

Let's say I have 100 keywords that are easy to rank for.

1st, should I create sets of Linkwheels, as in, use 5 keywords, create 5 web 2.0 properties, link them all together, then close out that linkwheel with a link from my money site to the first web 2.0 property, then make 5 more, etc... or just make one big huge linkwheel of 100 linking to each other and to my site.

Let me emphasize on this first "what you do is depends on what you want".

If you just want traffic to your site, and not really much link juice, you just pick long tail keywords for link wheel.

If you want traffic and link juice, you are better off with higher competition keyword with much more traffic, so that you can build a lot of backlinks to it and increase each property link juice back to your site.

I don't really link all wheels together, unless they have value to my readers. Many would argue that linking the wheel would leave footprint for Google slap, but I think the content is far more important.

It doesn't matter if you link them together, I really don't think Google would easily slap everyone's link wheel if they are good content, and you should always mix and build more link type to your properties if you are targeting more competitive keywords, for low competition keyword, any "links" would do ...

    • Not sure what is your concern? I only share my own experience, if you are building software for IM, better to get more advice from other marketers as well ...

      Yes, why not?
  • hey kkchoon, thanks for the great info and almost the idea for niche research... the only thing i noticed when you tell to put the url of ezinearticles in google's keyword tool, it turns almost into "articles" and all related keywords (article submission, article marketing, press release etc.) to it, but nearly nothing related to the content of the specific article....

    Tim
  • Hi Tim,

Google seems to change the Keyword tools a bit, try using the link below the box, "Or, enter your own text in the box below...".

It should return some related keywords for you .

  • A new .info domain name is slower to get top spot at Google than new .com, .org and .net domain names for the same keyword and the same content (SEO - on page optimization) and amount of backlinks. Is it right?
  • I don't think .info is any less powerful than .com or .net ... I use it all the time
  • wow, this is really cool! must try tomorrow!!
  • Hi mr. Choon, I was reading your thread and the only thing I can say is Holy S**T , that's golden info. I just wanted to ask you for some tips on my project if you don't mind :

I'm trying to compete on a keyword that has this results:

    broad: 3,920,000 results
    exact: 335,000 results
    allintitle: 19,800 results

I know it doesn't comply exactly with your keyword rules but looking at my competition, I see that the first page competitor has 1 thousand incoming links, so my question is, do you think that outranking him using your links is doable or not?

Thank you very much for your info and time mr. Choon, this is my third project and I don't want to screw it like the last 2 :p
  • Hi,

Thanks for the compliment, glad it helps !

From the figure above, I should get it rank easily within 2 months. However, you should look at the top 10 competitors, don't just look at one, sometime the 1K links is a bit misleading...

My NLB3 link packet alone is Not Enough to rank for the keyword, you should add Angela & Paul Link packets and links from article directories - try spindistribute.com, Unique article wizard or Magic Article Submitter!

When building authority sites, mixing different type of links are very important, if you don't mix links, most of the links from profile sites will be discounted easily, you won't see much effect...

  • Has there been some kind of weird change to the Google External Keyword tool? I just tried to check an article from EZA and it came up with keyword suggestions like: article submission (12), article marketing (7), press release (5), article (30), ezine (19), articles (18), marketing (6), publishers (5), Miscellaneous keywords (14)

The article I put in was about a supplement....

I think it's pulling the info from the sidebar of EZA and not the content.. how do you correct this?
  • Hi James Foster,

    • Hi Kok,

I've been following and learning from your thread for quite some time. I owe you a tremendous thanks for all I've learned from you so far.

But today I ran into a problem and I could use your advice...

My site is about 6 months old. About a month ago, I started doing the SEO work on it that I've learned here in your thread (as well as Terry Kyle's 60-day experiment).

I found a nice, short keyword which I felt confident I'd be able to rank for.

I setup a linkwheel of about 10 sites, and I've written 7 articles so far which I submitted to another half-dozen sites. The articles are getting decent traffic at GoArticles and EZA (the more popular ones are just about at 100 requests each since being posted 2-3 weeks ago).

I started backlinking a couple of weeks ago through Winson Yeung's service, and have since outsourced to three more WSO's to continue my backlinking efforts. I'm not sure if these new WSO's have begun their work yet. One will promote my site through article marketing, one through social bookmarking, and another is using XRummer.

My site's been dancing between position 25-30 for the past week or so, which I was very happy with. But this afternoon, my site's been dropped a bit... to position #251!

Is this the Google "Slap"? Do you have any idea what I might have done (if anything) to cause this?

The links in my linkwheel are honestly quite haphazard and random. I didn't keep accurate track of which site linked where. I was more concerned to just get started and I figured once I got the ball rolling and gained a better understanding of what I was doing, I'd make a larger, more organized wheel.

I'm honestly very, very concerned at the moment. The site I'm promoting is my own, which I've worked very hard over the past 6+ months to develop. It's not related to IM in any way.

It's critical that I start driving traffic to it soon, and this setback makes me very concerned as to what I can expect to happen over the next several weeks. I'm unsure how to proceed, if I should continue article marketing and backlink building, or if something I've done in this behavior is what caused the problem in the first place.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
      -Robert
  • Hi Robert,

There are few reasons why your site is dropped:

    1. It most probably is just a normal dance, sometime they dropped down for few days to weeks, and came back up high.

    2. Check your webmaster tool, see if there is any error or anything you have done to de-rank it. Remember this - never, ever do any on page optimizations that is matching the keyword you are back linking, the chances of messing things up is very high.

    3. I am concerning about the XRumer service you use, try not to use them if you are not sure what you are doing... Many Warriors mess things up by using XRumer incorrectly!

    4. Your site is aged, but still within 12 months, so you should always get more links from trusted authority sites, and I suggest you submit your article to PR 4 directories only to get more trust rank, Google seems to ignore low PR links for new and "untrusted" site.

At the mean time, don't freak out and stop your link building campaign, but you must try your best to get links from authority sites. Using long tail keywords in your articles to drive traffic is the way to go, you can easily get a lot of traffic with proper keyword research. Try BUM marketing, very effective!

Don't follow exactly the way people build a link wheel, I call them link wheel, but in fact, they are web 2.0 sites for me, I seldom link those sites together, they are more like traffic feeder sites to me!

One important thing you did right is mixing all kinds of links, if you are trying to rank for article or page for long tail keyword, you can use only 1 or 2 types of the links, but authority site, the more variety of links, the better.

Lastly, XRumer is very easy to kill a site with less than 12 months, fortunately you have many types of link resources, this shouldn't be the case. Just focus more on the in-context link from article sites, try these services:

    1. Article marketing Automation / My ArticleNetwork
    2. Linkvana
    3. Backlink Solution
    4. SpinDistribute.com
    5. Magic Article Submitter

When too many people using profile links, Google will adjust their algorithm, and using articles to vary those links are extremely effective!

Hope this advice helps, do let us know if your site return within weeks...

Thank you so much for your advice. I will follow all of your recommendations.

One thing that concerns me greatly is your Point #2...

I check my webmaster tool daily and find that they say my desired keyword is low (#14) on their list of keywords found for my site. So I've been putting my keyword on every page possible wherever I could fit it naturally. Even today after discovering the drop, I went into my site and put my keyword into the title of many of the pages. Are you saying this is very bad to do? Could this be the cause of the drop?

    • Hi Kok,

So, while I was completely out of the top 1000 for my chosen keyword for the weekend, today I find myself back on page 3, bouncing between #23 and 28.

I will continue to follow your advice. I won't mess with my on-page, I'll continue with my article marketing using the services you recommend, I'll manually create links from high PR properties and for now I'll continue letting the backlinking services I've paid for finish their link building for me (even if it's from low PR sites). Hopefully with all the "good" link building I'm doing, the low PR links won't be penalized and will only help. Hopefully.

I want you to know that even though we've never interacted directly before last week, I consider you my teacher and mentor. I've learned a tremendous amount from you over the past couple of months and I owe you a debt of gratitude.

Keep build more authority links from all types of link resources, you should see them bounce back pretty soon.

      1) I want to rank a web 2.0 site (hubpage, quizilla, etc) for a certain keyword. Is it enough to publish an article for that web 2.0 site and build backlinks or I have to make multiple posts for it?

      2) How many words should the article have? (how many do you recommend)

      3) I'm trying to attack non-english markets and I know that most article sites accept only english content so my question is, Can I write english articles and put an spanish keyword on the author bio? something like

"Average Joe is the owner of the spanish site KEYWORD and loves to surf"

Any ideas from everyone are welcome. I have read the two post above where you addressed it some already.
  • Great post Kok. Keywords and backlinks are the key ingredients for search engine traffic. You're especially right about picking the low hanging fruit. There are thousands of keywords ripe for the pickings in the search engine. Just takes a little research and good old fashioned brain power.
  • Keyword research is the "most important" part of SEO for online success! If you really want some good money, don't be brave and hit for high competition keyword, instead, try to find some "gold" - Long tail keywords with extremely high search volume and filled with ready buyers!

Change your mindset, when you gather enough money, then go for higher competition keywords.
  • is it bad if lets say i create 5 accounts on one profile website and put a different url links on each account? Or can I stick 5 different url links on one profile site.

if you think i can't put 5 different url links, can i put at least 2. keeping in mind both of these urls are different.
  • You can try that, only your profile stick rate would be low and each link carry less link juice to your page...

You are right, so if you want to find a lot of earches but allintitle just 3K, especially those 4 words or more long tail keywords, how are you going to find them?

  • Hi Kok,

So glad to see this thread still going strong.

You offered me some specific advice here a while back and you've been tremendously helpful. Last we spoke, I was panicking because I thought Google sandboxed me or something (it was just the Google dance). I'm now at position #4 and expect to take the #1 spot not too long from now.

I'm still very heavily doing off-site SEO. But I have a web designer finishing up a complete, 100% redesign of my website, which I'm hoping to launch in the next week or two.

The question I have is... Will launching the redesigned site set my SEO work back significantly, even though the new site is much more SEO optimized than the current site I have up?

I ask because last we spoke you were very clear that you should never do on-site SEO while simultaneously doing off-site SEO.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    • [1] reply
    • Hi Robert,

Good to hear from you again!

About redesigning your site, I would recommend you stop doing backlinks to your pages, unless you are not purposely touching the content, just only the design shouldn't have much impact.

You can still do both on and off page SEO, just expect a bit of dancing and might causes temporary filter in the process. If your site is very unlucky and caught in the filter, just keep building High PR authority links (PR 5 and above), should come back after a period of time.

As long as your on page stuff is not trying to match the off page keywords purposely, shouldn't be much problem.

Please keep us posted about your site after redesign, if only art work or theme, shouldn't impact your ranking at all.

      See you around!

Thanks guys and gals! Angela backlinks is one of the most power backlinks around... I had a lot of success with it, that's why I collect high PR profile backlinks myself, as well as getting them from WSO!

    • Hi Robert,

Here are some tips to help you do better article marketing:

      1. Try to bare in mind this - Always do extensive keyword research, find exact search count of 30 and above, with phrase 10,000 and allintitle match of 1,000. This will guarantee your article receive enough view.

      2. I know there are limited number of keywords that are related to your niche directly, so you need to think out of the box, think from the perspective of your customer, who else need your service? And what kind of keywords would lead them to you? Don't go deep first, go broad!

      3. One key to AIDA article - you need to write article for fast scan reading! Meaning your article must be able to deliver the message by just looking at the sub header, here are some good example: (Don't look at the view count, they pick the wrong keywords )

5 Powerful Tips to Lose Weight Fast and Quick From the Comfort of Your Home - Lose Weight Right Away

3 Powerful Ways to Follow Twitterers on Your Cell Phone

How to Cure Procrastination - 3 Powerful Ways to Stop Procrastination and Take Action

These articles use bold and sub-header to allow reader scan reading! The reader will be able to know the content by scan reading it!

Remember this - Always benefit, benefit and benefit in the sub-header, make them want to know more...

      4. I highly recommend Dean Shainin E-book here:

      http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...bcPm3bdxTPzy1w

One of the best ezinearticles course! If you want to learn the proper way, get this! Only $27!

And you need another e-book from Ryan to help you boost your click-through rate:

      http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...95SIZNs4KApZnk

Get this 2 e-books, read it thoroughly and start getting serious article traffic today!

Not really, I can get AIDA + SEO writer for only $5 / article. You need to learn the correct way of writing before outsourcing it, else you won't benefit much, because you can't evaluate the writer ability to produce the good article!

      [quote=perryny;1888767]
Today, I rewrote the article (the revised version isn't approved or live yet) which is now about 750 words, but I believe much better written to target what the title promises. I'm looking forward to seeing if the conversion improves.
      [/qoute]

Word count still too high. Try to use sub-header and boding those title for better result.

      Benefit, benefit, benefit....!

      Yes, that's very true!

Thanks Robert, your feedback is most valuable to me and every other warriors here!

  • Hey Mr. Choon, which websites/platforms are the BEST when it comes to *leverage*? What I mean by "leverage" is that we both know it takes some *time* to get our main sites to the front pages of Google/Search Engines, so what types of sites should we be building backlinks to in order to generate traffic (from our hub sites) to our main sites without having to wait 3-6 months for the main-site to rank?

For instance, I've noticed that it can take a few months for a regular site to start ranking, but if you build backlinks to a YouTube video or EzineArticle, it may take only a few days-weeks (that's what I'm trying to say, LOL)...!

I hope you get what I'm trying to say?

      Hi Mozes,

      You are welcome!

There are still many come to the Adsense game, I don't really like this kind of money making modal, too much work while too little return...

Anyway, I know there are many Warriors having success with it, good luck to you! BTW, you might want to aim for high search keywords, these kind of keywords usually only 2 or 3 words, and the competition is rather high!

If you can find some good paying keyword, and a related ready domain (1 years old), and the competition is relatively low as compared to many other 2 words keywords, you should be able to earn more with just 1 website instead of tons of it!

      Kok Choon

For building website, I always like to a fast and SEO ready way - Try Jeff Johnson free SEO Wordpress, it use to be a plugin, now they seems to modify it to include all SEO plugins and settings!

Traffic Getting SEO Plugin free wp plugins

Fastest way - you said it, Ezinearticles, Youtube, Articlebase.

Bad thing is - you have less control, you need to follow those site's rules. Good thing is - you are pretty fast up to speed!

If you want your site fast ranking, use high PR links (PR6 and above), this will get you up to speed! Still need 2 to 3 weeks, and depends on your keyword competition!

I usually build authority site for higher competition keyword, where I dig and found some Gold keywords, while most of the time, article marketing will do the job.

  • Great tip on the Shainin ebook, thanks!
  • Hey Mr. Choon, besides EzineArticles (that's your favorite site, LOL), what other hub-sites do you use to *leverage off* of your main site until you get the main site to rank in the search engines? Also, how many backlinks should I build to these hub-sites if the hub-sites listed on Page One hardly have *any* backlinks (including EZA)? Would it be hard to overtake them on Page One?

BTW, I've noticed that *ArticleSnatch* almost always gets on Page 3-4 (automatically) or whatever keyword term I'm trying to rank for! Would this be a good hub-site to build backlinks for (as leverage)?
  • Mr. Kok, that means my step by step is OK by you? And you've DONE the steps like I write above?

Dear Mr. Kok ... I'll jump after read this. I work all days from 6am to 5pm and did not generate such huge $. You are my real teacher Mr. Kok. Need your direction my friend.

Medium competition only need 25 backlinks from high rank website (like Mr. Choon service) to become #1 at Google. It is my testimony, my EZA articles now in the #1 Google - viewed statistic more than 1000. But it is just 1 article as I am not deploying many articles, test case only.

    Regards,
    Mozes
  • One last question, Mr. Choon: Is it better to start off creating content for the keywords with *low* search volume, or would it be better for me to hit it off with the ones with a lot of search volume every month?
  • I never said I don't believe it But I'm having huge trouble with getting keyword, but I've read it only twice, will read it more soon , and hopefully I get a hand of it , since it's really important to me because I'm trying affiliate marketing, and this is the only key.

    • Dear Mr. Choon,

Mozes again here . Could you please help us, I just discovered the niche: *meditation* and now already build money site.

These are the keywords. With your tips and services, I believe my all articles submitted to articles directory can be #1 at Google, means I can build autoresponder list or even the sales.

      My questions,
      1. How do I know that these listed keywords will generate sales?
      2. What should we do if the articles not generate sales?

Instead of using EzineArticle, I prefer using GoArgicles as I can put the link above fold (above articles - Terry Kyle said this in his thread). What is your suggestion about this? The benefits of put the links above article, the CTR will relatively high comparing if the link place at the end of articles.

Hopefully you're not boring to answer so many questions from newbie.

    • Why not email paypal about this matter? Most likely the problem caused by your paypal account, or you may call paypal directly to resolve the problem.

Like Mozes said, you can get Market Samurai, try to learn this software top to bottom (they have video tutorials), finding good keyword is just like piece of cake!

It looks like you are trying to do stress relief niche, and I think stress relief is a solution base niche, better than just meditation.

      Why?

Who need meditation? Why and how meditation can solve a problem?

Try to do Stress Relief instead of meditation, conversion should be better...

      Hi Mozes,

I don't encourage Goarticles.com for beginner, and Goarticles.com is not as SEO optimized as Ezinearticles.com, it takes a lot more time for Google to index.

You also want to learn the proper way of writing articles, that's why Ezinearticles.com is a great place to start - they force you to write "good" article!

As for the conversion, few tips here -

      1. Compelling title - Grab the attention of people while putting your keyword there

      2. Your last paragraph should always be leading the reader to some conclusion and clicking your links! Instead of writing a new resources box, try to copy your last paragraph into resources box, and add call to action to it, the reader will have higher chances clicking through.

For product conversion or sales, you need to pick the right keyword, right product, that's all! Don't complicate the situation, if someone click-through your article, they have good chances of buying!

If you don't find them buying after 200 ~ 500 click-through, change to other similar product, keep testing it, there are no other easy way than testing...

  • Get those profile link packets you can find on this forum, or you might want to try my link collect - Nuclear Link Booster 5.

Profile links is just one type of backlinks, I recommend you try to get as many types of backlinks as you can:

    1. Profile links
    2. Bookmarking
    3. Directory
    4. Article backlinks
    5. Video backlinks
    6. Ebook directory
    7. Software Directory
    8. Blog Network like Linkvana, MyArticleNetwork...

Any kind of backlinks you can find.

If you want good SEO team, try Traffic Sage, recommended by Daniel Molano. I've yet tried it, but I like what they offer in their website.

Google it and you'll find the website.

  • Dear Mr. Choon,

I have 2 articles in EZA; about hemorrhoids -
    1. Article #1 was optimized using Angela package (I believe it is like your service)
    2. Article #2 was optimized using articles submission (I take PLR then submit to the service).

All the articles based on my research *low competition* and *medium search*

    What is the result?
    1. Article #1 now number 1 at Google, giving a lot traffics - but still no sale at CB.
    2. Article #2 still page 3 at Google, I think almost no traffics - no sale as well.

I think, I haven't make sales yet because the traffics only from single article I wonder, why does people make hard efforts with articles submission and other backlink services with the steep prices if your service can move my targeted keyword to #1 Google?

it make me so curious. Wait, I will register your service. Today I will cancel my membership in the article submission. Hopefully, my paypal running well when completing registration.

I have 28 articles at EZA for niche *hemorrhoids* - all long tail keywords - low competition - good searches (3K broad & 1.5K exact per day) that need to be pushed to #1 Google. The money site already D.O.N.E. Building list capture have installed.

Probably I still lack about *call to action* (as per your suggestion) at EZA's articles but no problem. If all of them being placed by Mr. G at #1, it will outrank the competitor and hope give $ to me. I believe it ever.

10,000 links (your services) will done all submission in natural way I hope.

I PM'ed you about my links at EZA & my money site ... Thank you Mr. Choon - you're my online teacher, very nice meet you Mr. Choon.

  • Hi Hooty,

That statement is just a virtual way to increase your link power.

If you have 1,000 profile backlinks, the best way to increase those link power is by backlinking all 1,000 profile backlinks into each web 2.0 property (your linkwheel), and boost the link power of each link wheel - significantly.

This way, you get many times of link power. Please note you won't get the benefit of real 10,000 backlinks, because you are boosting each link wheel property link power, you are not really having that much of backlinks.

Usually, you don't have to do it this way, to build authority site, you can easily outsource and find thousands of high PR backlinks. Like my collection is already 2,600+, and many other WSO offer similar amount as well.

Combining all these link resources, you have a lot of link power! Enough to rank for low to moderate competitive keywords!

  • Kok,

I may have missed it because this is a pretty long thread but do you have any experience/ideas about the effectiveness of Unique Article Wizard for getting backlinks? Also do you count the page rank of the page with your link on it as the indicator of quality or the page rank of the home page to the domain your link is on? Most high ranking domains seem to tuck away links on low PR pages. What do you think?

    • UAW is a powerful tool. The key to successfully using it is:

(a). Having a top notch article spinner such as thebestspinner by JL
(b). Or, have the ability to outsource your articles.

Each article you submit to UAW must be formatted into 3 versions, those version should pass dupecope/copyscape.

What happens is many people sign up for the UAW service not realizing they'll need to take an article and spin it or have it spent into three separate articles.

Without the right spinning software or outsourcing, this will become a laborious pain in the but unless your are a prolific writer or a speed typer.

You can setup the drip feed feature and put your back link building on auto pilot. I use it faithfully and can say that along with Linkvana, it's pure horse power to OTB Obtaining Tactical Backlinks!

Getting to #2 is a huge boost to my confidence and motivation though.

If the CTR is low - I will try to make another articles with good title. Thank you Mr. Kok. For the matter placing article at #1 Google with moderate competition, I can do that easily. But generate money with this condition is another issue to solve for me.

My concern is, if we use those keywords to Clickbank products market - is this same method with adsense business? Sorry for many questions.

    • [1] reply
    • Hi Mozes,

How are you? Hope everything's fine!

I think there are some differences. With Adsense, you are concerning about the clicks, that's relatively easy than selling...

However, if you want good conversion, only certain buyer keywords are valuable. I think you can monetize those non buying keywords with adsense while some good buying keywords to clickbank products.

I don't really like wordtracker, I use it few times but doesn't really find much good keywords for SEO, because the search count is not accurate.

However, you still can brainstorm some good keyword with it, if you have more money and want more research tool, try it out.

Don't remember to send those keywords into Market Samurai to check the exact search count.

  • Another wonderful post... really liked the way you explained it out to us.. simple and to the point
    • [1] reply
    • The key is simple - Find keywords with low competition, like 10,000 phrase match with 400 allintitle match. (Figure must follow to Market Samurai)

While still get decent searches everyday, say - 500 to 1,000 visitors! Add those numbers up and you get your total search count.

However, remember to multiply with 40% of those traffic expected in your site, this percentage is accurate if all your keywords are rank on page 1 position 1, and the number will decrease as your ranking drop.

Using article marketing for fast traffic is - either write bunch of articles that would rank high on page 1 without links, or write few articles that would rank on page 1 without links!

Can you still pick higher competition keyword and rank them with backlinks? Sure, but expect 2 weeks to 2 months before you see page 1 ranking! But this method is a lot easier because you can find more keywords...!

Bottom line, keyword research is the key to traffic! Pick the right keyword.

It may be weeks and it may be months. It depends on a lot of factors like number of pages the site has, pages indexed by search engines, niche, etc.
