Pardon my ignorance on the subject but is this a "blackhat" strategy..and also is this useless:

creating a wordpress website with 10 quality blogs linking to my money page followed by creating a blogger/wordpress website with 50 quality blogs linking to my wordpress website an then promoting all these blogs on social media outlets?

I'm focusing on 5 keywords that i hope to rank for on google within these blogs.

I read about this in a book by R.L. Adams called SEO 2016.

I would not call it "black hat", but I don't like that hat analogy in any case. Yes, this is something that people do. It's fairly a fairly advanced strategy in my opinion. No, it's not useless as long as you build links to the linking properties too. Just don't have too few sites linking to your money site.
    Signature
Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.
Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

    What's your excuse?

      Thank you!

So is this troublesome in the sense that I am getting links from too few places:

I have 5 .wordpress blogs linking directly to my money page. These 5 .wordpress blogs have about 10 .blogger/.wordpress/.blog pages linking to them. All of which are 500 word blogs, all original (I'm exhausting from writing lol) .

I then provide blog post comments on 1 big blogging site within my niche.

And then I have the occasional backlink I post on all my social media websites (google plus, facbeook, twitter, pinterest).

I started about 3 months ago but I happen to be ranking in the first 5 pages for several of my keywords. Would Google have an issue with how I am approaching SEO?

I havent delved into press releases or finding other niche blogs to contribute to yet .

RL Adams is a scammer using fake reviews on Amazon. He is clueless about how rankings actually work. If you investigate the reviews for his shitty, shitty books, you will see that almost all of the positive reviews come from users that have left hundreds of reviews on different products. All of them are 5-star reviews. It's pretty obvious they are fake.

I bought one of his books because it was like $3 (before I noticed the reviews were fake). Total crap. That guy is an idiot.

What you are describing though is just a simple method of tired linking. It can work. I would not expect to rank for anything moderately competitive with that plan though. If you want to do it a little more effectively, you need to expand out beyond just Wordpress.

I would be careful about following much of the advice you find in that book though. God knows what he is telling people to do in there.
