Followed links are links that don't get the rel="nofollow" attribute. Which means that they pass juice and anchor text.

Google "Silo structure in SEO" and you'll find it's a specific way of linking your pages that gets you stronger landing pages.

First, be on the hunt to get the websites that are related to your niche in terms of products and services they offer. Nowadays Google has become super smart so any old methods might not work, the best links today are from PBN (private blog network). There are best tools like magic submitter, seonuke to get some links but what matters today are relevant to your niche and from high trust sites.

Do not use any software to create backlinks.
Backlinks can be earned by using unique content. Find similar blog posts which accept dofollow links in comments. Try to elaborate the topic of blog post in your comment and in reference give your link. This is the way to put a link in blog comment.

You don't know what you're talking about. And you did not read any of the posts that came before yours.

Most bookmarking sites give nofollow links; the ones that give regular links give don't link to the page they give you a link from, so you get a weak link.

Between nofollow links and weak links, how on earth do you conclude this is the most effective way?

Having a great piece of content that generates natural quality backlinks is a great idea and can work but reality is it is very hard. Especially if you dont really have a following as of yet. I believe in creating a niche tool that no one else is doing that is relevant to the industry. It does not need to cost a load of money. See the niche, create the need, create the tool

You could check for your competitor's links using SEMRush or MajesticSEO, good sites usually have diverse links resulted from guest post, forum threads, QA answers, blog comments, etc. You could just track the source of their links and see if you can do the same. Just make sure the growth of links is a process of drip-feeding and also avoid building low quality links.

No, it's not. Most social media sites give nofollow links. That's far from best. Those that give followed links give them from brand new pages, pages that will forever have a PR of 0, unless you give them some followed links.

Article submission... again, you need a site that gives followed links (ezinearticles.com, for instance, does not). Then, you need to build links to those pages... otherwise your link will forever be coming from a page that has no power to pass to your site.

Blog commenting for links requires you to find a page that has juice, power to comment on... Very hard to find... It's easier to create your own sites, create links to a particular page, then link from that page to wherever you want.

High PR sites... That is not relevant, unless those sites link to your from the page that has the high PR... Usually, it's only the home page... and I have yet to see one that's going to link to a random site from the home page.

Nowadays Google has become super smart so any old methods might not work, the best links today are from PBN (private blog network). There are best tools like magic submitter, seonuke to get some links but what matters today are relevant to your niche and from high trust sites.

I often create backlinks in the following ways : Forum Posting, Social sharing, article submitsion , web 2.0. I was not sure how is the best way, but I must first think more interested in quality content.
I've failed with backlink creating large numbers but my content is not good.

To get backlinks easily to your website you can use SEO or SMM, both will help you to increase visibility of your site and will drag a heavy traffic to your website. You can use guest posting, EDU resource backlink, video submissions etc.

Doesn't work well. By the time you've got your source sites ready, your fresh content will be wilted!

If those are the best ways backlinking methods you know, you need to go back to school. Or, at least, read some of the posts in this thread that offer much better ways.

Companies big and small LOVE to show off their customer testimonials.
If you're using a product or service that you love (or at least like), consider sending them a testimonial.
When you do, make sure to tell them that they can put it on their homepage or a testimonial page.

Personal experience: find websites related with your niche and then comment on them. Be aware that the comment needs to give value.

Never try pay backlinks, they are not worth it and they can be dangerous.
