You're doing it wrong If you think that's SEO. Direct targeted niche traffic maybe but it's not SEO.

I don't think there would be any good one left as wherever you go for the purpose of backlinks you will face 'nofollow'.

I wouldn't really recommend you to worry too much about "getting good backlinks". Because you are just going to set yourself up for frustration.

Just worry about delivering the best value to your audience, and the search engine users. And the rest will take care of itself naturally. I am telling you!

Forum is good for the website visibility because from the forum posting we can get do-follow back links and traffic as well, that is why it is important.

Yeah but today no more forums allow dofollow links or at least you have to pay money or time to have it.

    I would suggest dofollow forums

    www.webmastersun.com
    www.wjunction.com
    www.v7n.com/forums

As I knew then these forums are allowing dofollow links on signature and posts, I don't say you can easily get backlinks there, just follow their forum rules...you will be fine.

Other forums are nofollow but it can be valuable for clicks if you have signature links on your posts.

Thanks I always keep these sites and WF in my list when doing forum marketing strategies.

Besides, Blog posts and blog commenting are also good ways to increase dofollow and quality links to my blogs.

The best forum and communities to get best back-links for your website are those related to your niche. You can drive organic traffic from forum posting and community discussions.

      Yes, i agree with this.

I don't think earning backlinks from irrelevant forums will do any good to your seo efforts.
But i think that a link on a niche related - high authority forum will give you much link juice.

In every case you will have to actively participate to the forum (not just post a spam link), since participating makes your profile appear in all pages you have posted to and raises your profile page's authority.

Spam-posting will also get you banned as other members mentioned.

What i am trying to say, is that earning (valuable) forum links is not so easy as it seems, and the effort you need to put on is not worth it.

Didn't notice your comment. Don't pretend to agree with me, and post something that's totally opposite of what I said. I specifically said that what you propose is ineffective, and probably devalued by Google to boot.

Probably not. Forums are by definition full of user-provided content, and the forum operators are supposed to mark the user-provided links as "nofollow". Even if they didn't it would make no sense for Google to give "much link juice" via these links.

Dofollow blogs and Dofollow forums use the dofollow attribute and that helps you to boost your backlinks and give link love. Link juice from a high PR blog or forum is good for your blog to boost your Google page rank. Specially, if you are active in a niche forum which allows dofollow backlinks, you will not only get a quality link to your site but you will also be getting targeted traffic.

Here are some dofollow forums which have Google page rank, register there use your blog link as signature and make sure that you stay active as these forums are very active and you will get backlinks as well as traffic.

Some forums in this list were nofollow forums, they changed from dofollow to nofollow which is not useful for your links on their sites.

That might not matter. Google may devalue the links or just count them as nofollow. And why would they not? Obviously the user-provided links should have the rel=nofollow attribute. It's a bit naive to think that Google wouldn't recognize some of the most popular forums on the planet.

Forums also tend to have a handful of strong pages, and a crapload of content pages that will never have a solid backlink profile. Yes, they're linked from the strong pages, but instantly buried in the archives on the active forums. So this is also often a case of getting a link on a new weak page. Google seems to love indexing forum content, but that's totally different from the links having any value.

==> First of all, forums backlinks has very less SEO value these days. People still visit forums for engagement, networking and skill developments.

==> 2nd, the list depends on the niche. You should not focus on any forums which are not relevant. Relevancy is a key part for now.

I would use Moz or Ahrefs to check out forums that are related to your market to see which has higher authorities and such. Start with the highest authority sites to get backlinks from those sites first. They will not be great quality links, but they will help in one way or another.

The biggest thing is to make sure that you are targeting sites that are related to your industry. You don't want to talk about dog collars on a fishing website. You know what I mean?

Most directories are garbage. There's no authority, and there's way too many links for you to really benefit. And I'm not even talking about blatant spam.

Use a sig. It doesn't help to have your link in the post in any way, but if someone cares to report your post the mods will probably delete it.

I know very little about SEO. But what I have learned is this: If it's easy, then it won't help you with white hat or gray hat SEO. And the easy stuff as far as black hat SEO might help for a short period of time, but destroy you in the end.

Forum posting is easy. Submitting to directories is easy. That's why it is worthless.

If good SEO was easy, then everyone else would be doing it and you would find yourself in the middle of the pack again, so you would still have to do something to put yourself ahead.

Writing exceptional content that will get people to shared it is hard. Getting links from high authority websites is hard. That's why these things will benefit your site.
