My SEO plug-in and website analysis tool inform me that my images have no alt tags. I ALWAYS add alt tags so this came as a shock. I checked the source code and the alt tag labels are empty (The alt tag fields have labels in my media library). Any ideas what the cause might be, and how I fix this? Is there a way of editing the source code?

Thanks

Alt Tags along with images consider one of the best way for optimizing the images and pictures used within your website. In that way you can tell the Search Engines crawlers that what is this image for.

Hi, I just checked your website. It's a WordPress website. You can either add Yoast or Some SEO related plugins having good reviews and download rate. for easily adding ALT tags for images.

Did you check your alt tag in screaming frog as it shows all the relevant result want you are looking for. If you had made a word press site, then install Yoast that having good reviews and is good for adding alt tags.

I use Yoast, and it made me aware that the ALT tags are not being saved. I add them but they are not being saved in the source code. Do you think this is a problem with Yoast or my theme?
