    I don't use any seo plugin as such. I write an excerpt, which my theme uses as the meta description. Apart from that there is the post title and the post itself. Nothing else needed.

    I would have to say Yoast is a great plugin that I use and does a great job of optimizing my content, however, to enhance your website experience even more I would recommend using SEO by Squirrly alongside Yoast as this gives you SEO advice while you're writing and acts as an SEO guide for you!

    If you don't have anything but "Yoast SEO" to post here, please consider letting this thread rest in peace. We've got enough of this echo chamber here. Everyone and their grandma knows about Yoast SEO already.

    You don't really even need a SEO plugin if you've got a well-made theme that takes these things in account. So my recommendation would be a cache plugin. I'm using W3 Total Cache, but a simpler tool would work in most cases. If you try W3 check Page caching and JS/CSS minify/combine options.
