i look after my wifes site, its a genuie word press blog, over 70 real hand written articles, and doesnt feature very well in google and i would like dramatically improve that.

so far ive checked

moz domain ranking, The Wonderful World of Dance

scores spam 5, which suprises me

i dont really understand the term "large site with few links" - she adds in outbound links to most articles, maybe not enough per article?

an interesting test is if you look at no.1 google ranking for keywords "akram khan until the lions" i new show she reviewed last night. we have google xml sitemaps installed, ping last night was successful.

article didnt show.

this page is no.1 on google Until The Lions - Roundhouse

its an established venue and has a spam score of zero and only 61 links as opposed to wwod site above which has 500+ real links...? so is this spam score super important?? seems like it

ive run screaming frog seo on the site, all looks good, h1 tags, etc.no alt tags on images though. would that make a differance?

maybe its a question of fixing those spam flags in moz. i dont know? any thoughts appreciated.

just found out ip the site is on is black listed for email spam. someone hacked the server!!!

Stop worrying about Moz's homemade metrics that don't rank pages.

Do you really need another site to to tell you If you're a spammer or not?

There is nothing that Moz offers that will tell you why you are or why you are not ranking. Sorry. They have a very limited database compared to what Google sees.
