High competition vs low competition keywords
- SEO |
My site has a vast database behind it creating millions of dynamic pages. Out of this, there are two distinct types of pages that I'm interested in targetting.
The first page is a page like Ben Affleck's filmography and actor connections - Deja Scene where it contains a brief filmography and the top actors that the actor (in this case Ben Affleck) has worked with.
The second type of page is like Movies of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner together - Deja Scene where it lists the movies that the two actors starred in together (in this case Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner).
Using the keyword planner from Google. The keyword Ben Affleck has over 1.8 million monthly average searches, whereas Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner has around 60k monthly searches.
Logically I would like to rank with the more popular keyword; however, the competition is going to be a lot harder, so does it make more sense to target the more specific keyword and rank higher?
