Purchased site...Now I need help!

So that site really makes money? I tried to click the links and all I got was ads for some kind of online casino. Hopefully that's not the case for all your visitors. Maybe the affiliate system that routes the links realized I'm not from the US or something.

It does actually make money. I'm not sure why you got ads for a casino because the site doesn't promote that at all. It could be because you are outside the US.

I'm not redirected to online casino as nettiapina (although I'm not from the US too), so maybe the problem is not exactly with the website.
To drive traffic of course key words are the basic. If you can't set it up independently, turn to specialists. Also you could try social media, for example start a Facebook group that drives traffic to your site.
I'd take these steps firstly.

Include URL in your signatures and help people (writting legit comments) across the globe on various forums or blogs, which publishes high quality content. And as other member said - just create some social pages related to your product or services.

I will most likely start a couple social pages and I have been thinking about starting a blog for the site since there is basically zero value to the site. Do you actually get a good amount of traffic from forums?

Best way to get more visitors and not mess up anything, leave the onpage be and create backlinks. The more good backlinks, the higher you rank. The higher you rank, the more visitors. The more visitors...

Most of the search volume that site is ranking on appears to be people searching for the Floyd Nutrition brand products.

So to be clear about this: you got scammed from a person who was leeching traffic from a scammer. Now that the main scammer is in prison, there's no more traffic to leech.

So you didn't get scammed, you got MEGASCAMMED.

Why do you say the guy is in prison? I don't see anything remotely suggesting that on your Wayback link.

That's interesting, and also pretty scary. I would not want to own that kind of domain either because there's all sorts of potential and unpredictable fallout from the past.

On the general level it's probably just a question of how fast the traffic falls, and if OP is able to market the site or keep it alive. The graphs on Flippa aren't that useful, and I'm a bit shite at making these kinds of projections, but the owner could just take the actual stats from the past couple of months and make some projections.

If this "Floyd" ran some kind of affiliate program it's possible that the traffic will drop drastically and unexpectedly.

I was going to bid 100$ but it was already above that. I hope the person who bought it can make their money back but honestly what really needs to happen here is the site needs to be completely redone. It has links pointing to it so it's not hopeless but yeah ... SCAMZILLA.

I've considered redoing the site, but I would like to make my investment back,which should only take a few more months, before I do anything major to the site. The site does have a decent amount of links so I think there is a lot potential for the site.

It is all a numbers game man. What that means is the more numbers of something you have the better off you will be. So you want more then 600 people to visit your website? What do you think you should do? What would change that number to a higher amount. If you guessed off page SEO then you are correct! Target MORE keywords man! The more keywords you get on google page one the more traffic you will get thus more money for you! Since you probably don't know much about doing seo i will give you a little tip you can use right now. Find a long tail keyword that has something to do with your niche. I mean a long one. 4 or 5 words in the keyword. "best gold watch for my wife" ok lets pretend this is the only keyword you have and its ranked #1 on google for the exact keyword. And you get 100 hits a day on your website and out of that 100 people only 1 person buys. And the cheapest watch you sale costs $100 and he buys that watch. Good for you right? Yes its good but that is just from one, i repeat ONE keyword, you are not going to live good of 100 a day (its really not that good)

Now lets say you went crazy and decided to rank ANOTHER keyword! wooo im crazy watch out im ranking 2 keywords not 1. Now we double the amount of money you made for that depending on how many search the keyword gets blah blah you get the point.

so 2 keywords right now is getting you $200.00 Do you see a pattern here?

The MORE keywords you have on page one means
The MORE chances you have to get a buyer to visit it
The MORE likely you will sell your item

so increase keywords. make sure they are buying what you are selling. Build links to website and get ranked for new keywords. Make money. And please don't just go for 2 keywords. This was just an example and probably a terrible one at that. But strive to get RICH. Go for 100 keywords man. That way when you do get some keywords ranked and that good money starts coming in you can look back and say WOW thanks TWC for replying because i read your post and i am now a millionaire

That site is truly awful, I can't believe it makes money, hardly any content and I clicked on "try slimtrim 2000 now", it linked to Fox News??? then I cicked back and annoying popup asking me confirm if I wanted to leave, then redirected to trycognimaxx. Awful...

I would write a tonne of quality articles, preferably with videos about that one product.

I assure you $1 EPC is very possible but it does require specific strategies. I have a site at $2 EPC / 2000RPM. To be clear: it's a very high comp keyword and I'm getting traffic on a long tail with very high commercial intent. The page they land on from Google looks more like a landing page then it does a blog.

If you want a goal for RPM just look in the google keyword planner, take the EPC and divide by about 10. Since it's hard to rank landing pages that convert super well and since there will be less CI, that's a pretty good goal to set when doing CRO. So if some sites in the niche are paying 40$ a click, I would keep optimizing the site until the pages actually trying to generate conversions are at 4$ ECP, obviously there will be some pages that are just part of the funnel and will generate 0. Some niches this just doesn't work since the link they click on won't be anywhere near that. I really can't clue you in on what niches work like this, sorry.

A cheap bottle of generic vitamins cost about $5 - $20 in a local offline store (per each sale).
