Hello,

Would a Year be enough to get on the first page o google in any niche or has it become that hard that not even a year would be enough?

With hard work it is possible in about 2 months. Its if you do SEO perfectly or use a SEO service.

There are several factors in play when it comes to ranking on the first page of Google...

For example, it would depend upon the keyword you were trying to rank for. If it was something broad like 'weight loss', it would probably take 4 lifetimes. But if it was a less searched for keyword such as 'tips to lose weight for stay at home dads', then it would be a whole lot quicker. Simply go to the Google Keyword Planner Tool to research which keywords would be best for you if you don't yet know.

The best advice would be to simply set a time limit to do seo every day (for example 30-60 minutes or whatever) and over time you'll climb the ranks like an American Ninja Warrior...

Or you can always pay out the wahzoo to have someone else do it for you and not really know what's going on with it.

I hope that helps and good luck

Go for long tail keywords that only get like 10-50 searches a month and you can get on first page in a couple days. Get enough of them and your in business.

For long-tail and/or local terms you should be able to get on page 1 in no time. One ways is using Google Hangouts, but there are many others!

It is instantaneous, whatever you are searchin' for.

I have never experienced bein' on the 2nd or 3rd page unless you scroll down after landin', which is kinda tedious cos that is where alla the junk starts.

In the absence of spoilers, it is so cool of Google to hit you with the first page first.

In all serious though nobody knows exactly when to expect page one rankings. It takes time, patience and a good bit of trial and error.

It can depend upon the keywords we use for rankings. And it takes time. But whatever activities we follow for SEO, it should be in accordance with the various ranking factors. So that, we can improve the chances of getting our keywords to rank in top positions in google. Some of the google ranking factors are:

    1.Backlinks
    2.Domain diversity
    3.In-depth content
    4.HTTPS
    5.Title tag keyword
    6.Site speed
    7.Bounce rate
    8.Domain link authority
    9.Web page link authority

How the heck would we know?

I'm working on a website that has several front page and even #1 results, but the most lucrative keywords are probably out of our reach unless we put some serious effort and resources to SEO. Those keywords are about established industry practices, and the competing pages are very strong.

Yeah, it's an old thread, and somebody could just report that Acodez spammer who dug it up.

A year will be enough for a middle ranking keyword if you work on it hard enough.

So if I rank in 364 days, I'm king of the world?

What if other people are working just as hard?

99% of the replies in this thread are so stupid, it's pathetic.

How the frick is anyone going to tell how long it takes?

      Lunacy abounds.

Here's the answer: 1 second to never, and everything in between.

So, go out, rank the site, then come back and tell us.
      Then we'll all know.

There was no need to add "Unless competition responds"... It was soo obvious it was not worth the insult to tell him because any one with a brain will know that.

I answered his question just fine... And my answer's stands.

The most pathetic response I saw here was your own.

More pathetic nonsense has been added to this useless thread.

There so many intangibles, not even including "competition,"
the whole question is as useless as your posts.

And the rest of your posts and replies are completely inane.

FYI: Spamming for a sig link, is also useless.

Nice troll dude... Try harder next time.

If he has a year, he should be able to rank for most mid competitive keywords if he works hard enough. Regardless of intangibles the odds are with him. The principals of SEO give way to patterns of how long something should likely take. And a year should be enough time for most people to rank a mid competitive keyword.

That my word on the matter... And please stop spamming the forum with your pathetic drivel for a sig link. It is wrong to make worthless posts just to get a link, so please stop doing that thanks

    It's kind of like saying,

If I work really hard can I be #1 ?

Well, number 1 in what? Can you be the number the #1 Draft Pick in the NFL... I'm going to say no...

Can you be be the #1 Stock Boy at your local grocery store, sure with hard work.

Translated to your question. Are you going to be #1 for ranking on Mesothelioma ? Probably not.

Can you hit #1 in "How To Train Your Purple Haird Poodle" ya, you probably can and will.

The other question is, do you want to hit #1 so you stay there or do you just want to glimpse greatness and then have google slap you back down for trying to take the easy way.

Yes it is possible, 1 year is a long time. But the question is if its possible for everyone?, and the answer is no as it depends on the competition of the keyword and what kind of seo you are doing and how many of you are doing this.
Though i have seen people ranking very high competitive keywords in just 40-50 days too.

Ranking depends on niche of the websites, competition and the strategy you are following for optimization. Probably one year is a good duration for keywords ranking.

    try long tail keywords
if the subject that you are working on is a hard one
    i.e poker , casino etc

then look for long tail keywords like play online poker today or best free casino site

it will have an easier time reaching higher places and not neccessarily less people looking for this keyword

I am working to get the exact time frame from your reply but am having problems. Maybe my maths is not so good. I can't seem to calculate the average or the median using "1 second" and "never" as the end points. I even substituted "infinity" for "never" but am still lost. Please help!!!!!

I guess you haven't been working on the site in your signature for 3-4 months, because it doesn't rank on any page of Google for a search of make money online.

Its all depend on the competition of the keyword as well as daily & monthly clicks on that keyword. Its better that you can do a proper research & in-depth competitors analysis to gather enough information. Which help you with your keyword to rank out in less a year time span.

Depends on so many things, mostly what the word actually is. I can see this has been well and truly covered in this posting.

Importantly, don't look at Google as the master of all sales sources. You can get as 'Google Front Page Level Success' through carefully orchestrated social media a lot quicker and for less cash / effort.

The result will be the same, just the pathway is different. This will also help your Google ranking.
