        How about anything published in the last two years that even touches the topic of PR.

        Pagerank is still a part of the core algo, and it's probably not going anywhere. Google just isn't telling us what the numbers are. So your best option is to pick a 3rd party metric.

        How is it calculated? Well, "followed" links on pages that have PR can pass it to another site.

    PR is calculated by algorithm. And your sites PR increase or decrease only when google update its PR algorithm. But now PR is not as much as a numeric value. Instead of focusing on PR improvement you should keep focus on your website traffic and ranking.

      You're asking the wrong questions. You should think how you can rank on actual search pages.

      Trust Flow is just another 3rd party metric. There's no value in increasing Trust Flow, but you can certainly use these tools to see if you're going to the right direction.
