What is Google Caffeine? Will it give any drawback to our normal link building methods as well as to SERP?

Google Caffeine is the 'code name' for the new rendition of Google's search algorithm. You can see it at Google. If you do some searches you can see that the results are different than the current live version of Google. So the answer is that 'yes' it will change how we rank pages but no one knows exactly how yet.

Ya man, most of the sites are ranking higher SERP than now on google.com.
It seems, my ways are mostly loved by Google Caffeine than the current google.com

I regularly receive news of google caffeine through my google alerts site and there seems to be some confuison of how it will work.From what i have seen it will cause a change in the results that google shows.
What i am not sure of is how to prepare my site so that i do not lose my current rankings.I will be checking on this regularly
