    Nope, nothing new. Just the same old techniques in the SEO:

    1. Unique content
    2. Social Media
    3. Branding
    4. Mobile-friendly website

      Voice search? Google has had voice search for ages...
      but what the frick does that have to do with me or seo?!?!?!

      Make sure your mobile version does not suck....if it actually matters.

      Social content is social. In fact, FB wants your stuff on FB.
      (Now that is new, but it's not SEO)

    Just check one of the sites that try to list Google's algorithm updates.

    Social media? Still has nothing to do with SEO.

    Unique content? I feel that the IMers are still babbling about content that's technically "unique" as in the words haven't appeared in that particular order. Google's algo is advanced enough to see through that.

    I'd guess that Google's filters and spam prevention measures get even more advanced. For example, the links sigs and blog comments are probably useless today, and they're going to develop the backlink devaluing measures even further.

    Some of the "old-school stuff" still works on smaller markets, at least to an extend. This is going to stop at some point, but hard to say if it's in 2016.

    Clearly, mobile optimization will take front and center stage this year. Marketers who neglect to specifically target people using mobile devices will not only be limiting their reach, but they’ll also be effectively committing SEO suicide. We’re at the point now where mobile devices have surpassed desktop devices in terms of the number of users.

      That whole "mobilegeddon" insanity happened in 2015, and mobile search is not making things any different than before. There's been talk about mobile for the past five years or more, and people are already firmly on mobile. I, for one, see no reason to expect any drastic changes in 2016.
