Is it bad idea to change from .com website to blogger?

Changing after 3 years, will it effect my published posts in google searches and what more do i need to make it searchable and old back links to redirect to blogger?

    You mean, to have your site hosted by blogger? If yes, it will change your urls, all of them... So any and all backlinks you've ever built will link to non-existing pages.

    You'd need to redirect... Never used blogger, don't know how to do it, or if it can be done.

    Yes it's a bad idea If you already have ranked pages.

    If you don't have any ranked pages, well, you have nothing to lose.

    I'm not sure why you would go from a self hosted site to a web 2.0.

    Yes Really Bad Idea, Everyone will think to change blogger to website .com. But you thinking to change .com to blogger. That's a worst idea, because you loose trust from your customer and you will get drop in the main keywords.

    If there is no major need to change .com to blogger, do not change and go with .com. Remove spam link and thin content if you have in your site and work on .com site to make it more efficient and useful to users rather than changing.
