Is there any good method to find Long Tail Low Competition Organic Keywords to work on. If there is no good method, than which are the best tools to use for this purpose costing a feasible amount.
I am working on an Amazon Affiliate site and would like to know how other Amazon affiliates do this thing.

Try keyword shitter - it's based on Google suggestion but it can give you thousands of useful longtail keywords!

    Hi thefundu,

Long-Tail Pro is probably your best for doing what you want to do. Here's a good tutorial on it:

Yeah I don't know about "best" it's certainly one way to do it.

I personally threw my copy of long-tail pro into the garbage can.

It's not so much about long tail keywords these days in my opinion
you can get them all you want, if you got competition you can't beat in the SERPs what good do they do for you

if you are using any tools keyword planner related good luck just about every metric they show has been picked cleaner than a vulture on a carcass

I only use keyword planner for keyword generator and filter out the keywords by who ranks on page one, forget about search counts means nothing if you can't get on page one

the filtering of keywords is the long process the rest is standard SEO

You should already be collecting data for inbound traffic/keywords from the SERPs. That alone has generated 2,500 longtail keywords with proven traffic (not some unknown opinion) for me to pick from on one of my sites.

Hi Yukon, can you plz elaborate what you want to say?

Here's one of my network sites running Wordpress, the screenshot below is the Admin page showing two columns. The left column is the keyword (blacked out) & the SERP traffic sorted by highest volume. The right column is the latest search traffic keywords that landed on my pages & the traffic volume generated so far per each keyword.

That Admin data is generated by the STT2 Wordpress plugin. I'm not sure If the plugin is still around or supported, I made a few hacks to it for my own niche sites a few years ago. I bumped up the max number to save 2,500 keywords. I'm sure there's other similar plugins that collect the same keyword data.

Even If you're just starting out with a new site you should be collecting keyword data from traffic that lands on your pages because over time the keywords snowball...

Example, say I'm just starting out with a new site & pick/rank one longtail keyword (ex: how to build a fiberglass subwoofer box for honda civic). Now I have a webpage ranked that includes multiple keywords that can pick up other longtail keywords that I don't even know about.

My list of keywords on the ranked page:
        • how to
        • build
        • fiberglass
        • subwoofer
        • box
        • honda civic

So... now I'm setup to pull in additional longtail keywords, example:

        • diy fiberglass subwoofer enclosure
        • fiberglass subwoofer enclosure designs
        • plexiglass subwoofer enclosure
        • fiberglass subwoofer enclosure thickness
        • custom fiberglass trunk subwoofer enclosure
        • how to make a fiberglass subwoofer enclosure

Ranking one page will generate a lot of longtail keywords but you need to be tracking that data in order to take advantage of those new longtail keywords.

Some will be one hit wonders but even those longtails sometimes include one or two keywords per keyword phrase that you would have never thought of or found on any keyword tool. That's important to remember because it can open up new doors for new categories on your site which can lead to even more longtail keywords & more traffic.

There are tools that you can use to produce your main keyword along with its searches and competition then use advance search in Google on how the users utilize the search engine for their query. Find the related searches for your target keyword and this will be your related long tail keyword for targeting your audience or users.

    Hi,

You can use Google Keyword planner or SEM rush. Both are very good tools and will help you finding long tail keywords with low competitions.

SEMrush is a paid tool and tells many metrics, many people here are debating on Keyword Planner...what does it tells!! It just tells the data for PPC marketing not SERPs.

No idea about iSpionage, but I agree that GKP and SEMRush are bread and butter here. As of the 26th, Ahrefs now also has an interesting keyword tool as well.

Dude, Long Tail Pro is a massive piece of garbage. All it does is pull planner data and perform an analysis that you can do with your brain about 150 times faster.

How to withdrawal from a Long Tail Pro addiction and stop overdosing on shiny object syndrome:

      Step 1: Pick a keyword

Step 2: Put it into Long Tail Pro

Step 3: Carefully observe the information that Long Tail Pro gives you.

Step 4: Ask yourself, "Do I really need Long Tail Pro to tell me that?."

Step 5: Install Mozbar into your browser.

Step 6: Any time you think about using LTP, just Google the keyword and use your brain instead. Control + F and Highlight All are really effective here.

Seriously, if you have access to a real SEO tool like SEMRush, then what are you doing with LTP?... Just delete it... It takes an eternity to do nothing...

Edit: Also, I'm not saying that LTP is worthless, but once you've been around the neighborhood a few times, you should realize you don't need it. Unless of course you're an affiliate and your audience is newbs, in which case, LTP is the bomb get it now...

Google auto search is the best. Though you have to find manually but trending long tail keywords have it's own benefits.
And did any one mentioned Google webmaster tools data? They give good insights.
