Follow these steps

1. Find Long tail keywords
2. Create content around your keywords, Content should be high quality and conversational.
3. Analyse all on-page seo factors
4. Start creating backlinks
5. Make sure backlinks should be from High Authority relevant domains.
6. Distribute your anchor text this is the most important factor for ranking.

Afterall there is no shortcut for ranking. Always prefer quality over quantity.

Build links as soon as you've created something worth sharing.

When you've refined your content and ensured it's a helpful resource, reach out and promote it. There's no reason to wait. If done right, links should follow.

Of course, keyword research precedes content (as has already been pointed out). I wouldn't focus on keywords too much -- rather, the user intent behind them.

But yes, promote your content as soon as you've published it.

Hi,

You can do the following steps:
1. Check for low competition, high search keywords (Google Keyword Planner is free)
2. Search for long tails of these keywords (Ubbersuggest.org is also free)
3. Use an SEO plugin (this can be SEO Yoast or Add Meta Tags)
4. Submit sitemap
5. Write good SEO content
6. Start backlinking or syndicating your content on social media accounts (IFTTT is a free tool)
7. Link to pages in site, as well as content

You can start building backlinks but make sure
Your backlinks should be from authority domain
You need to create only few backlinks per month, 01 quality backlink is more poerful thank 1000 low quality backlinks,,

Start off very slow first. You don't want to add 1000s and 1000s of backlinks right away. Search Engines are too smart to know something fishing is going on.

Slow moderate increase of backlinking from diverse sources with no fixed patterns will help ward off some red flags.

SEO is a long term game, that may or may not get you the desired rankings. I think you should have a short game as well - PPC, social media traffic, and using other advertising methods, etc. to get your website noticed right now.

Firstly analyze your site like check duplicate content, heading tags, canonical issues, robots.txt etc and start on page work. Now time to start do website's off page work and create backlinks. Don't create thousands of backlinks from spammy websites. Only focus on natural backlinks, like blog writing, guest posting, infographic submissions, blog commenting, PPT submissions etc. Also, work on discussion sites & social media sites.

Don't create tons of links from day one. Instead, start creating slowly. Variety of backlinks should be made, don't get stuck on same technique. Get some social sharing.
