      Hi Mac,

Unfortunately, two of my websites(buyqualitycoffee.com and buypurehawaiiankonacoffee.com) got slapped by Google Adwords who punished them with a Quality score of 1!!! Of course, Google doesn't provide any information except for: "you need to improve your landing page quality" and they refer you to their guidance and rule, etc.

Based on your knowledge can you see what could be wrong with these landing pages?!? They look just like some of the Guru's pages to me. The only thing I see is that they are hosted on separate servers (and separate domain name) than the rest of the Site.

Any input would be greatly appreciated as I am back to ground zero again with that new Coffee niche. I am ready to give up unless I figure what Google could be bothered with in my landing pages...

      Regards,
      Matt

The only thing I notice is the absence of a "Privacy Policy." Also create another "Contact" tab.

        Nice site BTW.

In my opinion, Google has probably identified your two sites as "bridge pages", since both sites appear to be single page sites.

I would incorporate these two pages into your main site and run your adwords campaigns to your main site pages.

I think Adwords has started filtering "thin" websites in an effort to remove affiliates and Internet marketers from their ad program. If you use URLS from your main site for your adwords campaigns, I think you will see your Quality Scores improve.

I haven't seen your website as there is no link, but off the top of my head I would suggest a few things, some of which have already been mentioned.

First, as per Google's TOS which you probably haven't even read, ( and I'm not being mean, just letting you know since you're using them you might want to know their rules, right?) you need to have a contact us and privacy policy link.

Second, and these are just suggestions as Google doesn't really reveal to much, but I've noticed that if you add a little paragraph to the bottom of your page( assuming it's a squeeze page or sales letter anyway) it helps them see your site as more relevant.

And of course you need to make sure your keywords are SUPER targeted to the landing page you're using. I would go so far as to say you might even consider breaking your landing page into MULTIPLE landing pages to narrow it down even more. And then of course along with targeted keywords and a targeted landing page you need to make sure your ad is relevant

Just my two cents, you should post a link to your website and fellow warriors would probably be able to assist a little better, I don't see one anywhere.

        Good Luck!

Mouse over the Status bubble next to keywords. What's the reason for low quality score? Keyword relevance or landing page quality?

Like Dean, I'm thinking you are not using the proper keywords. I'm willing to bet you are bidding on say "hawaiian coffee" and the other types of coffee you have and sending all clicks to your home page.

Your /products page should be split for each coffee type instead of lumping them all together. Don't have those links for more information on X coffee, you're making people click too often to buy. A contact/about us page wouldn't hurt.

      Hi Lucid,

The Op already gave the reason for the low quality score, it's a landing page problem. I think Shane nailed it with the fact that the page doesn't comply with AdWords' TOS for a privacy policy.

      @mattgary,

Bring your landing page into compliance with Google's Guidelines for Webmasters and you'll see the slap removed. You may need to wait in the queue while Google gets around to a new review of your landing page.
