Hi warriors,

Just wanted to know some best methods of getting GOV backlinks without spamming. I know many people can create spam comments to gov blogs but I don't prefer these.

What is your choice? Do you prefer these type of cheap services or you prefer quality backlinks? If you prefer quality backlinks, how do you manage to get quality gov backlinks?

I wouldn't waste your time chasing them, unless you have an amazing site providing something of real value. Otherwise, no government site is going to have any interest in linking to you. If you don't believe me, just contact them and ask them.

Hi, I'm not asking for backlinks from homepages of these sites, just looking for some blogs or profile links but with good quality. There are some gigs on fiverr but they just spam.

Those links are junk. There is no special value in links just because the domain is .gov.

Really? These gigs on fiverr and seoclerks are getting thousands of sales.

            ROFLMAO!!

So, you're going to spend hundreds of hours building a site, then spend $5 on SEO?

            Think about that carefully.

            Edit: From SEO Clerks WTB

Willing to pay a maximum of $8

            Hi,

We need 1 million backlinks within 20 days for our website. Person having good command on it can bid for this opportunity. backlinks should be from high PR websites & it should sustain life long. There would be maintenance of such backlinks & prices would be payable additionally. Backlinks should be from a variety of countries like USA, UK, Australia so on.
            HAHA ABSOLUTELY HISTERICAL

Not ranking in Google? No problem, just buy 1 million links for $8 and BOOM.

Never mind paying hundreds of dollars for high quality PBNs or paying thousands of dollars for quality links on authority sites.

It is because these thousands of people believes that they can rank easily with thousands or million of low quality websites links.

I'm wondering why these people are so hungry for .gov backlinks. Its better to check for themselves if it is allowed to link from these authority sites.

    Hi taim,

You can type this into Google to find .gov link opportunities:

    "helpful (keyword) links site:.gov"

Also try the search with the words "favorite" and "useful" inserted for "helpful" and the words "websites," "sites," and "resources" instead of "links." All of those variations can bring up different results.

And of course, put your niche in for the word "keyword."

Once you're on the sites, check for broken links using this extension (second one's for Firefox):

    https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...lfglf?hl=en-GB

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/fir...n/linkchecker/

Then just reach out to the site admin (usually in the Contact Us) section, tell them about the broken link and include one to your site as a suggested replacement - assuming the article is relevant.

If you want to know what the broken link used to lead to, copy and paste the URL into the top search field at archive.org and click on one of the highlighted dates that shows up in the calendars.

You can also insert. edu or .org for .gov in case you're looking for those types of links. But remember to put the period before gov

    Best,
    Matt

Do you even read the replies you make? (Yes, replies, not just here.) Cuz I gotta tell you, you CANNOT possibly repeat that in front of mirror without cracking up.

It's too difficulte to get backlinks from GOV site if you website is lower quality I think you should not do that. Don't trifle away your time.

Why would any legit GOVT site link to your affiliate site (or whatever little site you run)? Seriously ... just spend the time you'd waste down at Burger King flipping burgers and saving the money you make to buy a PBN or something.

I actually got one decent GOVT link to a site of mine once, but it was an editorial link (we didn't outreach, an article of ours got picked up) and it was a link to a 25k word guide on a site that had almost zero commercial intent ... and was in a very specific niche.

It's probably gonna be easier to bribe a government official to log in to the site and give you a link, than to outreach for one.

I think I'm going to rank a site off 100% spanked/stealthed PBNs, then buy like 100 .gov links, just for cool point, for when my competition looks the site up.

Oh snap, it's got .gov links /flee in terror

I might mix in some other terrifying domains like "you.will.get.annihilated.if.youdoseo.com" or "fear.my.insane.seoskills.com"

Forget about gov and edu backlinks, just focus on guest blogging and content based marketing and then its social media marketing. You will enjoy good results, traffic and sale leads.

your website or blog needs to be well popularized and known before such opportunities can be reached. you cant just build a site today and expect to have government backlind if at all there is something like that.

The right kind of .gov backlinks that you are talking about are very hard to get. You can find pages on .gov websites that link out to other websites by searching keywords such as, "Resources" + url:.gov With that search you will find government websites with resource pages that link out. Depending on the type of website you have it will be very hard to get a back link from these resource pages. Especially if the website is commercial. You would have to email the webmaster and ask to be linked too. The type of websites that have better success doing this are non profit websites and public service websites. Commercial websites do not stand a chance. The good news is that if your website is commercial and you are unable to gain .gov backlinks, don't lose sleep over that because your competitors wont be able to get those links either.

I second Matt's reply. Getting legitimate GOV links for an average site is impossible. You can try your luck by filling out the contact us form but I doubt they will give you a reply. Have an awesome website, provide real value and you will have better chances.
