Google Submit URL/Submit Site Map Same Thing?

Is submitting your site URL and sitemap the same thing? I was under the impression that submitting your site map through Google Search Console would signal that the site was ready to be crawled. Why is there a site URL submission as well?

Any thoughts would be great.
#google #map #site #submit #thing #url or submit
  • Its similar cause the way of submitting is different. In google submit url you submit individual url's. You submit Sitemap xml to google to cache your whole website pages.

A sitemap is an XML file that contains all the links of your blog. This file helps search engine crawlers to find all of the URLs of your blog.
