I would like to start SEO for the Generic keywords with E commerce website, As of now this website has 400 back links from few domains. I would like to know weather it is possible or not to get the rankings if we start working for the generic keywords initially..

    Usually people do research on the exact SERP competition instead of generalizing whether a webpage can or can't rank for a keyword.

    Is your competition allstate.com or some unheard of new site with no backlink profile?
