My first #1 Google Ranking!

My site just ranked #1 for a good keyword on Google (4400 searches/month). I will finally be getting a trickle of steady traffic to my blog. Just wanted to say that backlinking, article submission, and social bookmarking works and to keep at it even if you feel discouraged just keep working hard and being patient and most importantly be clever about your keyword research and targeting.

If all you were doing was articles/bookmarks the SOC was probably less than 10. Congrats on your ranking. That's always an awesome feeling.

I'm not sure what SOC is, but I did backlinks too (Angela and Paul's profile backlinks).

Thanks for the encouragement, I will be starting to go down my list of other keywords today. On Webmaster tools it gives a list of keywords your site is getting impressions for on the first page, so that it what I am looking at now, there are 3 keywords with over 1000 searches a month.

Agnel, I can show you my website but make sure you have room in your pm box, I think they changed the limit to 10.

Congratulations on getting #1, which gets you the most traffic. This is what I found out who gets what amount of the traffic:

# 1 gets 42 % of all clicks
# 2 11
# 3 8
# 4 6
# 5 4
# 6 below 4

I think you'll find that it varies quite a bit, those numbers are very, very broad.
