Reading through all the answers I see the same old tips about onpage and offpage Seo but no one has mentioned a more human approach to gaining traffic.

You can increase the traffic towards your websites while performing some tasks ie.

- Perform On-page SEO tasks ie. Look for use the limited character in the meta title, meta description and meta keyword, use the proper heading, alt tags etc.

- Perform Off-page SEO tasks ie. Blog Commenting, forums participation, guest posting, Q/A sites participation.

- Use the quality content and link building tasks. Definalty you will get the better result.

Trying most of these. So far, the most effective way that worked is create content that ranks well (as in, first page well) on Google. Managed to do that using keywords in my native language.
