Hi, I'm looking for some pointers to help me understand my current situation better.

1. If I want to rank for more than one keyword, how do I go about targeting this? I know the content needed to structure a certain way, yes, I know this. I do have access to a third party service which allow me to see all my competitor keywords. So do I target 1 keyword per article? How does this work? I also know that I could just steal their keywords. Assuming it's a low competition keyword of course.

2. Okay, so I use Wordpress. Do I draft my article and have all the content structure laid out first before I hit published? Because I heard if Google index it and if I need to make changes later that will ruin my targeting. What's the proper way of planning everything from start to finish? And why do some marketer hire a project manager? What's up with all this?

Your help is greatly appreciated!

    1. You can choose 1-2 keywords/keyphrases per article and optimize around those. That means title, content, alt images etc, you can use Seo Yoast plugin for WordPress for this. Beside the on page optimization you need some external links and use your keywords as anchors. But don't only use exact keywords, mix it up with plurals, synonyms etc. Also link those pages from other pages on your blog and social media.

    2. You should finish the article before publishing but changing the article later "will not ruin you targeting" unless you delete all keywords. Google likes fresh updated content, so if you need to change the keyword density you should add a paragraph instead of tweaking the existing one. Unless it's factually wrong or something.

never spammed check the keyword density of the article, or the percentage, if the article is written for people in a natural way - these parameters are irrelevant

By external links do you mean backlink? If I understand this correctly, you're saying I need to build backlink with my targeted keyword as the anchor link directing to my page. Is that right? Just making sure. If true, that means that someone has to use my keyword pointing to my page on their sites. I heard that this is very hard to do because most people are not willing to backlink to you.

If you make changes to your articles later on it will not ruin your keyword targeting - provided, of course, that you don't completely change the article from head to toe. If you're just updating it or adding new information, it actually helps your SEO efforts.

When I draft my article, I usually just write out the headlines so that I know what I'm going to be talking about and what order I want my information to be in. I might put a few key points under each headline. Then I take a break. I go do something else for a while. I might even wait a day. When I come back I'll have a fresh set of eyes and I can put my all into my article.

do not rewrite a single article, it is necessary to collect a lot of articles, information, blogs, personal experience, and then it's all collected in one high-quality text

Okay thanks. The reason why I asked this was because I recently purchased the Ultimate Azon theme and it warns you to not make changes to your content after you published it. I have been using Wordpress for 3 years now and I never knew anything about this until I purchased the theme. Wow! So now I am thinking it's the same with any Wordpress theme in general. I find it shocking when I figured this out.

Do you people start topics with a fake account to reply your nonsense to?

The answers above are just idiotic....at best! Complete with "SEO"!!!!!

Nobody in their right mind would ever ask the two questions by the OP.

    NOBODY.

    Why? Simple:

"Somewhere, somehow, I heard a guy who knew a guy say I could make money online. So I bought a domain. I started wordpress. Now what? Please explain."

There is nothing different in that than this:
"I heard that people like donuts and you can make money off them. So I got a business name and rented a building. Now what? Please explain."

Would any of you answer that with:

    Learn some recipes.
    Get some good equipment.
    Put signs in the windows.
    Have a few chairs.
    Take credit cards.
    Do some cupcakes.
Bake 10 dozen cookies a day.
    Stand on corner waving sign.
    Soon you will be #1!

    Oh...yeah....some of you would.

Oh me oh my! The amount of baseless assumptions in just 2 paragraphs is astounding.

You'll be way ahead if you came up with 3 reasons why Paul is right.

        I am serious.
