I made a website and used different fonts. Does it matter in seo that we should use only one font across all pages of a site? I used 3 fonts across the site. Headline , subheadline and paragraph .

Big argument a while back on fonts, size, etc.

It does matter, but not really what you mean. You can have multiple READABLE fonts.

The readable is where it gets sticky.

With mobile, font and font size matters. Ever wonder why some sites have a text overlay problem?

Of course if a font is pertinent to the viewing, content, placement, effect, etc., you need to be careful.

Not every browser, mobile or otherwise, has every font.

I use basic fonts that every browser has. As well as google recommended sizes.

Yes, they do indeed talk about this.

But using 3 or more ordinary fonts, no problem.

Having 3 fonts on one webpage would be an unnecessary resource hog.

so I should use only one font across my all pages? Didn't it look odd that your title and your paragraph are both in same font?

        Why would consistency look odd?

When you link to a font like a font hosted on Google Fonts (which most CMS use), each font code makes an external call to a Google server. So... 3 external fonts loading on your page is going to take 3 times longer to load on the page.

Even If you host the 3 fonts it would still take 3 individual server calls which contributes to lagging page loads.

Using different font type, size will not negatively affect your SEO, it will affect positively.

SEO is all about unique elements, contents etc.

Try including as many unique styles, fonts, sizes elements, headings, para, images, videos but all they should look natural...

Suppose, your page has 20 headings, and there is no paragraph, no normal text then your site will negatively be affected...... it doesn't look natural!

      The font is always important:

      1. Use a single font for entire website

      2. Highlight the headers, do line spacing, check out the mobile version, study how your competition designed their webpage

      3. If it is important for your website to have 3 different fonts - it is fine as long as you monitor how your web visitors behave around these different fonts.

I would definetely not overcommit on a high fontusage - Try to keep your site as clean as possilble. From A SEO standpoint it will not have any effect, but from a usability standpoint different fonts can result in a sloppe overall design outlook

That's not affect SEO. In my opinion, that's not necessary. I have seen many blogger experts use only a front, but the y still work well
