hey, i'm thinking of purchasing backlinks from linksmanagement.com
but i'm afraid they will lead to a penalty or will not improve my ranking
any thoughts?

      I'm not surprised if you are affiliated with the said service.
      How can you explain that this service can provide pr1-pr8 backlinks?
      Because this kind of quality links are earned not generated.

    I'm not say it's not working. But, to be safe, I don't recommend use any Link Building service. Why don't you take your time and effort to do genuinely?

    This is pretty cut and dried. If you are paying for the link, you are violating Google's policies and will eventually be discovered by Google.

    Google is not stupid and joins many of these programs under an assumed name to see how they work and the footprint they leave. It's similar to how they join PB networks and eventually catch everyone who is involved. In most cases, you will receive a manual penalty which is pretty much impossible to recover from (unless you are a big brand like Target).

    If a link is easy to get (even if "easy" means spending money to get it), it is not a link you want. Period!

      If I sell you a link without advertising we're the only two people on planet earth that knows about the link being sold. Assuming the link isn't obvious (random niche links, low quality forum sig/profile, etc...).

        Great theory if I am the only one you are selling a link to. When there are a bunch of sites getting a link from you, it's a red flag - especially when someone contacts you and discovers that to get a similar link it costs money. You may not believe it, but many of those people will contact Google immediately and out you.

        We teach white hat link building. You can cut corners if you want and hope that you aren't eventually discovered. When you are, your business will be gone forever. Most folks learned that years ago. I guess it really depends whether you are trying to build a forever business or trying to make a quick buck, knowing that someday you may have to start all over again.
