Should I focus on Bing? (for SEO)

Hi Warriors,

I'm new here but I've been in the internet marketing business for like 3 months already (Gosh, I'm still hitting myself on my forehead for not knowing about this forum earlier)...and I've been focusing many of my SEO efforts on Google.

Now, I was in someone's coaching program and that person specifically asked me to focus on optimizing my sites on Bing instead of Google.

So marketers who have optimized for Bing, how is your results?

I don't know how to optimize for msn/bing but I occasionally get a high ranking term there accidentally and it usually brings only small amounts of traffic compared to google.

I would put my energy into google, higher returns I think, but let us in on how to optimize for bing please

  My mentor says that Bing has more serious buyers and extremely suitable for e-commerce site and product site owners who hate competing with hundreds others for one keyword.
  
  Hm...I would also love to know how we can optimize for Bing. Seems like everyone is talking about SEO for Google but not SEO for Bing.

  I have not done SEO for Bing but some keywords are showing top 10. I do believe that if you are optimize for google and yahoo, it will be optimize for Bing. As I have checked all 3 search engines, my ranking is sort of similar to one another.
  
  I think the key point will be focus on visitors when building your sites. That way, you do not worry too much of search engines changes and you will be fine. Creating good quality articles will be the way to go for SEO.

  Bing is more for CPA networks and if you have the cash for a ppc course then stick with google since Google does 70% online of the traffic out of the 3 of them, either that or organic free traffic,

I just do normal good SEO and get ranked on all of them. Not saying I am some SEO expert, just saying, don't do or try anything different, same for all. It use to be you could use different tricks to rank on certain engines, but I think those times are pretty much gone. While each SE tends to rank better for different reasons, still pretty much just good SEO to me.

I do have to say it does seem like the Bing traffic is growing. One of my bigger referrers. Though G still brings in the highest traffic compared to the rest. Not even close.

Yahoo and Bing are still 30% of the search engine market share. 30% = still lots of people thus potential of money.

The users of bing will be less computer savvy so it would be worth ranking for that's for sure!

Bing is interesting - I just checked one of my sites (1 page sales page offering report, audio and a worksheet) and its on the first page with 2.5 million competitors. No optimizing - just a blog comment every now and then.

yes you should focus on Bing, as well as Yahoo and Google.

You must understand that the majority are Google users, its also good to concentrate on Bing as well so long that you are not targeting to a certain area or country.

I have good results from Bing, but best result from Yahoo instead.

I don't think there's that much difference between optimizing for Google and optimizing for anything else. What counts is contents and backlinks, and there seem to be no excessively exotic optimization requirements to be done specifically for Bing.

No need to focus on bing.. if you have a good content, bing can index your site easily... focus on things with high competition - google.

I would say stick with Google...

Me personally I would do a little SEO with both but right now for I would stick with Google higher search volume right now than Bing...
