Feature image from wordpress theme? good or bad?

Theme name is awaken! It has feature image! If 10 blogs with feature image in main page but heavy loading speed? It is fine? If heavy then so slow speed right?

If remove feature image then fast speed loading right?

Feature image has seo or not?

    It has seo value if you use img alt texts. Use images if necessary and compress them by using a wordpress plugin like EWWW imager or WP smush.

      I already have installed wp smush then fine? Add more extra? I want fast speed because future increase traffic then so slow then buy cloud hosting but I do not like spent! Any idea?

    WP smush it is fine just remember to ad img alt tags and also make the image file name the key word you want to target.
