Link Juice On Pages Not In Google Cache ?

Hello,

I'm under the impression that if a page is not cached by google it does not pass any value at all to any outbound links it has. Is this true ?

There is conflicting information around, but my impression is that if Google does not know about it then it does not count. Simple ?

Let's take an example, you syndicate a press release to 100 sites, the press release is live, but after 2 weeks none of the pages are cached by Google, you can certainly access them directly.

Opinions ?

    No, that's not true at all.

    A page doesn't need to be cached in order for the page to rank or pass authority through links.

    A cache is proof Google has found the page but so is looking at the SERPs to see If the exact URL is indexed...
