I am just wanting some straightforward info on how to write a good ad that gets a high ctr, and get a good quality score, and how to do testing and tracking. Any suggestions?

There are many techniques to write effective ad copy, but for Adwords you need to use the exact keyword you are bidding on at least once in the text ad as it will stand out to the searcher, increase your CTR, and improve your QS and decrease your cost at the same time.

Split testing of ads is also important because just one small change can lead to a hugh increase in CTR's and conversions...At the Adwords learning centre there's a section (tracking ad performance) that explains this in more detail.

Hope this is what you were looking for...

One of the better free forums I've found is wicked fire. There's an abosolutely rediculous amount of dick rolling, but there are hidden gems.

Personally I'm part of two paid resources and now understand why they cost money. Significantly more professional and people are much more willing to share information.

The way I see it is that you can either use free resources and spend a not of time digging around for info, or you can pay a good bit of money for organization and structure. It's really up to you, if you have no money, get working on ********** and SEO. The added benefit I found with paid resources is that I really want to make some money because I'm starting "down" and want to make back my subscription fee with the info I learned
