Does Google recognize different programming languages for anchor text links? I am concerned about a client's site which does not use <a href="http://www.mysite.com">My Keyword</a> to link to other internal pages. It is written in another programming language although it does apparently link to the actual page when clicked on.

    You need to look at the text version of the webpage. If you can see/click the link on the text version of the page then Google will find the link. No guessing involved.
