I recently started new youtube channel and its about food recipes.

There are lots of topics about youtube video seo. most of them about meta details and descriptions etc. but is there anything we could do like backlink building ?

i know it depends on the niche. but where could we build backlinks to video and is there any good food related forums ?

    if all you want is your youtube video to rank highly then there is not just back links you need to worry about. a lot of other stuff helps you do that.
    be sure to get user experience signals on your videos as they are a big help. also getting a lot of people to view, like, and comment on your video will help you which can be done by paying someone to do this or by making the stuff really relevant and likable.
    plus besides youtube there are many other forums that do video hosting. Facebook and Twitter being the top as they get the most traffic.
