Hi all,

I setup a website on a domain that no one has ever used before and sent links to it a while back and noticed all the links turned out really spammy so after putting all the links through the disavow Google tool I noticed my Majestic trust flow turned to 0 and citation flow set to 40!!

Has anyone ever experienced this?

Is this domain worth trying to recover?

Am I have to recover it from a bad citation and create good trust flow again or should I start fresh with a new domain?

Looking forward to some opinions because I am trying to avoid the changing of the name as its my exact match brand name so I would like to keep the name if I can but will change the name if it means its the only way.

Cheers

    Hi there,

I think you should have another domain name to use. It is best to start fresh, just to avoid the possibility of having it go bad again, if in case you try to use it one more time.

Hope this helps. Best of luck!

    • Hi Catherine,

Thank's for your reply. I am trying to avoid the change of domain at this stage because it's a registered brand and logo and such is already made for it so it would be a shame to just sweep it under the carpet and start again. I just thought there must be a way to bring it back to life with quality backlinks.

      Cheers

You're worrying about stuff that doesn't even matter (trust flow).

I'm sure there would be many members of this forum who would disagree with you on this one. Short term it may not matter but long term I think it does.

If it does not matter than can I ask what does? DA? CF? PA?

      Cheers

You've been hoodwinked by a sales pitch or two If you think any of that nonsense is SEO.

        Carry on...

He has a very small point but not knowing much SEO he overstates his case constantly. A trustflow of zero IS a factor. it indicates that a major crawling tool has not found links to the site. Links of course are a SEO factor

SEO novices claim that because the crawler is not Google it does not matter but they make no sense - google no longer reveals any metrics so all you have are the third party metrics and major crawlers such a Moz, majestic and ahrefs run huge crawling operations.

So even though they are not Google they DO indicate that your are not getting much links on authority sites. Of course what majestic sees as an authority site is not necessarily what google does but across hundreds of sites the odds that you have hundreds of great links but majestic has missed all of them to give you a trustflow of Zero is pretty much near nil.

I have NEVER EVER seen a great domain even when PR was public that had zero TF or even DA 0. Those metrics might be off above zero sometimes but zero ALWAYS has been a good indicator of link issues and anyone saying differently doesn't have a clue what they are talking about

Sold PBN domains, couldn't deliver and disappeared for months.

Not exactly trustworthy from a moral POV.

lying is not trustworthy from a moral point of view and you've been trying to float that lie for some time Guru wannabe. I disappeared nowhere.

Out of hundreds of customers we had legitimate issues without about four customers years ago and offered free services because of a market change we could not control. You have had issues the entire time you have been here with lying

(not to mention the whole lie to wikipedia to get no follow links scheme you were pushing that flopped... tsk tsk)

As long as you believe it that's all that matters in the end.

              Good luck with that.
