1. is it ok to use 4 backlink per page you try to get a backlink from?

2. one of the backlinks is my main site, the others 3 well, they are articles that links to my main site?

is this ok?

or im i doing something "illegal" on SEO ?

    Hi R,

    If you look at any high ranking site in Google on backlinkwatch dot com, you will see how many links are on the pages where their inbound links are coming from (and the anchor text they are using too).

    It is often shockingly high how many links are on those pages but the target sites still seem to get link power from them!

    I'm not sure if you mean for example: having an article with 4 backlinks to your website and repeat? If so, it depends on where your building your backlinks (some websites will not accept 4 backlinks per article, others will), and I would suggest also building backlinks to other pages of your website, to make the process a little more 'natural looking'.

    I would typically recommend only doing 1 or 2 per article or site. It can look a little strange to have four. Not too mention not many places will let you have four backlinks especially if they are quality sites and article directories.

    ok thanks for your responses,

    well what i mean its, 4 backlinks
    1. the main site
    2. an article that has a link to the main site, for example i wrote an article, and im backlinking the article page, im not putting 4 links on the article, theres only one link, the link that says "click here" for more.
    3. same as 2
    4. same as 3.
