Some have had trouble with this plug in so here's an small advice:

When the footer is in code and you don't know PHP you can Copy/Paste the source code in this module: footer.php to be editable

Better tip, check out using platinum seo instead of all in one. Better plugin, imho.

  It has more options, but doesn't it also leave a link back to the authors site. Or was that just on the platinum seo settings page. I tried it awhile back and can't recall if it was on all the pages.
