Possible to beat PBN?

Sorry if this posted twice, I'm not sure.

Is it possible to outrank a competitor who must be using a PBN? I do not see evidence of the PBN when looking in their backlinks (I used a couple different backlink checkers) but I still think it is possible as the quality of their site is low and there is little content but it ranks highly.

How can I beat a PBN without using one myself?

Make more PBN links than your competitors and have good content, you will outrank them easily

Thanks. I can't find the link to start a new thread so I will ask here. When SEOs talk about "getting backlinks indexed," are they talking about just having the linking pages indexed in SERPS, or ae they talking about the backlinks showing up in Search Console, or some third option, which they call the backlink index or something? I keep reading articles but it's never clear.

Build more quality links from the good authority sites which are related to your site niche that will bring you the good results.

its simple you need to get more quality links then your compitetor use some backlinks checker tool like semrush gets the details of backlinks of your competitor also check their anchor text ratio and use the best anchor text of your competitor while building links.
    Quality always beat quantity.

The most profitable and competitive niches will 100% have people who have PBNs. It is extremely difficult to outrank them.

  • It is a commont tactic to not let the crawlers of moz/href etc into your PBN sites. So you never know how many of them are there

Thanks everyone. It is my understanding that PBN users block robots from crawling. Therefore, it seems that no backlinks should show in most crawlers such as SEMRush, ahrefs etc--but I do see a few weak backlinks in all crawlers I checked. Does the fact that I can see backlinks mean there is NOT a PBN?

I did find out they are using an expired domain that has some good backlinks. Is that enough? Or does that mean that there is also a PBN? Sometimes I get above of this site in Google but they always get back on top. I don't get how they are doing this without adding links, and I never see any new backlinks for them. (I'm not obsessed or anything--but I get emails when my keywords move). It may not matter all that much, since I have a lot of content, but I am just trying to figure out the phenomenon.

Not every private network is going to block crawlers I block them on very few of mine.

And no crawler out there is going to find every link. There could be tons of links you don't know about.

OK. I have gotten good backlinks two times, and both times, my site outranks this affiliate site, then a couple days later sinks back down. I am assuming they get an email, then simply buy more PBN links. They are on an expired domain so I am not sure they also have a PBN. I work hard to create an authority site. It doesn't seem to matter how good my backlinks are,as they have something they do to neutralize them, it's just pointless to even try. Is there anything I can do about this crookedness? I have looked at a lot of backlink checkers.
