I'd appreciate your opinion on whether it is better to have subfolders, subdomains or separate domains for the following situation.

mywebsite.com is the main domain and this business will be offering the following services:
  • Managed Websites
  • Project Management Software
  • Augmented Reality
  • Digital Signage

Given that the services are not really relatable, what do you think is the best option for SEO?

I've done some research and I think that separate domains would be the way to go but I would like to get other opinions.

    You are correct, separate domain is a good idea but Managed website and Project management software is a part of IT services so you don't need to make it separate.

    As you have mentioned, your all services are very different from one another. Hence I would suggest to go with different domains. Also you will be able to manage all the services well differently.

    What Platform are you using for building the website also instead of different domain, subfolder. I would suggest to just create different pages and silo them with the main page.

    With that you can just create links to your main page and it will pass juices to other pages. Instead if you will use different domains then you will have to create new links for each domain and it could be time taking process in my opinion. Rest is on you.

    These four are totally unrelated to each other you should have separate domains for the following situation.
    Separate domain is more suitable for this situation. Project Management Software is related to Marketing field and augmented reality is related to computer graphics field.
