Fellow warriors,

I accept that a registered domain is the best option for adsense and I have a couple that I use with wordpress.

Is it possible in your opinions as your far more experienced than me to make a profitable and worthwhile adsense business using blogspot as they are free to set up?

Thanks in advance

Pete

My current hosting and registering site is far to expensive for me to register multiple domains in a month.

So I know blogspot is free for set up and hosting though I dislike all of the templates there really.

I am begining to think that adsense success is a little from a lot of sites rather than hunting for the one niche that will pay over $100 a day. I get that feeling from looking around the forums and taking not of what I see here.

So was wondering is it realistic to launch several blogs on blogspot and make it successful or is it better to save up for a few months and launch 4 or 5 .com's together?

      Best wishes

      Pete

Personally I don't know about blogspot. I haven't done that well with it, but I haven't put much effort into it either. I have set up domains a blogspot blog though and that works fine.

Why is it so expensive for your hosting and domains? Typically you can get domain names for $9/year (even less with a coupon). Most $10/mth hosting accounts allow you to have unlimited domains (within reason).

Because I live in South Africa and as a currency conversion it is a rule of thumb $1 = 10 Rand and the income I have every month is not that great.

I think I have found how at godaddy I can get a wordpress domain for $10 a year which is more affordable.

        Pete,

Of course it's preferable to have your own domain and hosting but it's not essential - don't worry use what you have available.

Worth reading this blog by Griz - ranked really highly for a few big money keywords and hosted on a free blogspot domain. This is probably generating serious cash

Good content and inbound links are the important things in my experience.

Any type of site can help you earn money via adsense as far as the site is getting traffic. Traffic =$$$

[I personally prefer to build my own sites instead of getting free subdomains at blogger or any other site.]

"make a profitable and worthwhile adsense business using blogspot"

If you search for this keyword in Google[.com] "make money online", then you can see that the first two sites are blogspot subdomains. If these sites rank this high, then it means they are getting lot of organic traffic and organic traffic is all that one need to earn from adsense.

There are pro and cons here:

    1. Blogger is good and having blogspot.com blog won't effect your adsense income. Best of all it's free. You don't have to pay anything as you get free url and free hosting space from Google. But the disadvantage of Blogspot.com domains is that, it is owned by Google and they can disable your account anytime if they find that you have violated any of their terms and conditions. In this case, your all hard work will go in a waste.

    2. The best thing is to buy a .info domain ( which does not cost more than US$1 ) and have your own hosting space ( if you look around in the web, you will get good hosting space in the range of US$ 25 to US$35 per year for unlimited domains and unlimited hosting. You can recover the cost by putting Google adsense ads in your website and focussing on a particular niche. If the traffic is good then you will recover the cost fast.

My own blog is on blogspot and it makes a decent income from Adsense. Having said that, my niche sites are on privately owned domains and they earn significantly more - but they're all in focused niches, that's a little different.
