I think it's less than 1up to 45000.

So lets look at this... you want 50k visitors a month, and the goal is to have 10 pages that are targeting low comp long tail terms in order to get there. The math just aint right. 10 low comp term pages may get you 10 visits each a month. maybe even 100. Just shy of the 50k mark I think.

I personally am a huge fan of low comp long tail terms. The reality in using them is that you need hundreds of them to develop traffic.

Here is the big issue... Someone such as myself use long tail terms that I might call buyer terms, because the sites I build are ultimately converting those users to buyers. IF the interest is only in visitors.. you are probably looking for ad impressions. To be honest, not a great business model.

So lets get real... chances are better than good that 10 pages will NOT get you 50k views a month... you will be lucky to get 50. What you need to do is focus on a micro niche product or service.. you need to write articles till it hurts on said subject and you need to find affiliate product or develop your own and sell it to the traffic you are targeting.

Pretty much the same effort.. ok a bit more writing, but far better financial results - with far less than 50k visitors a month. lets call it a more realistic approach to developing cash flow with the use of seo.

To some businesses, that might not seem a lot, but targeting 5 keywords doesn't mean that your website will only rank for 5 keywords and get traffic from 5 keywords. This is because a keyword phrase with the same words in a different order, or with more or less “stop words” (a, the, for, etc.), counts as one keyword.
