Dear all,

I am writing for reason that I may find some people who honestly will give me right answer. I do not like | I do not accept offers from this post. I just like opinions from community.

I have built one of the best website in particular niche. I have best service and I have best content. But still, google does keep me in good eyes because my website is new and there are no backlinks in it. I know that most of you(honest people, not sellers) will tell me do not buy links, and yes at some extend you are right. But, competition is so high and the others are buying links I am sure.

I see some links that are being sold in linksmanagement.com are in competitors backlink profile.

My budget is around 6k usd for backlink campain. what would you guys do with this budget? I will reward someone who will give me a working solution.

Sincerely Krenari

    Three things I would do:

-buy into a bunch of quality paid directories
-create content and begin an outreach program to try to get links from other established sites
-create my own network of sites that I can build links off of and that I have full control over

The best quality backlinks are the ones that are difficult to get. Anything you can easily get might have value but you will always be walking a fine line with many of those methods.

    I wouldn't take the risk.

If you have such a budget, as Mike suggested "all though directories will unlikely be a follow link, but still give value so for the price worth it" go to Brightlocal and and get 30 of the highest quality directory citations for $90. They are permanent unlike those you pay 2x as much for from Yext!

Use the following search query: [Best of blog (your industry or keyword here) 2016 or 2017] ... make sure that their blog stats are indeed a reflection of Authority, make sure you know where on the site the post will go and ideally that page will have some page juice, but its likely only about the domain name authority in this case, and make sure that it is a follow "all though authority blogs are usually going to meet all the above criteria."

Then start contacting the authors. Do make sure you have a news release, or a blog post already to go that would be a match for a guest spot. You can get free guest spots, but since you have such budget to spend, you will be glad to find some authors will sell you a spot so long as you actually have a "news worthy" post to share. "A recent #1 in the country blog asked me for $1000 to place our blog post in a guest spot...lol. I passed but maybe you dont. It would have been a solid link but ..."

Also, get involved with PR work. This is were you can really start to score some great links ... Create scholarships, have fundraising events for charities "getting involved in partnerships will be your best beat."

Im in the process of creating a scholarship that will get placed on numerous HIGH Authority sites, and we are hosting a fundraiser to fund it.

Notice all this sounds like a lot of work?????

LOL! Thats why its worth doing!

Google has gotten smart enough to make sure those who are considered authorities worked hard for it!

Lastly, while most directories are no follow, I recently scored 4 medium quality links from the local Chamber of Commerce. It cost $400 to join and then you get links from their directory "where you can create numerous deals, hence numerous links - all though do not go crazy with it 3 or 4 max."

So why would the Chamber be quality when in essence you are purchasing a link? Its because there is a strong enough application process for which editing is by actual humans making sure that your bizz is legit. Now, for us it was a no brainier because of the added value involved with the ability to network and PR work we can do directly through the chamber.

In any case all of the above is an example of the kind of work and thought that goes into achieving quality links.

Unless you are just trying to rank in a local market, I would not waste the time, or money, on Brightlocal.

No, I'm talking directories like BOTW, JoeAnt, etc.

I wouldn't really bother with that search phrase. "Best of" doesn't mean it is really going to pull up the best of anything.

I would use related keywords to find good matches.

Rest of the advice is solid.

BOTW - you really think its worth the money? Or are you speaking about submit, move on and hope for the free listing approach? I'm guessing the latter ...

Dmoz is another, but good luck on that one especially.

Oh no. No submit and pray.

It seems like ... oh maybe 70% of my research indicates it does have SEO value - it's usually the price that turns the neigh sayers off. Even though they admit it has some value, their not sure the equity is worth the money.

Think of it this way. Places where the price turns people away, keeps the spam and junky IM'ers out. That's where I want to be.

It doesn't completely ruin credibility but ... just know that Page Rank has not been in use for some years, no updates ... nothing. Basically the PR is old enough to were it could be vastly different today - enough time to has gone from Authority to Spam.

                    2. I find a discrepancy between the supposedly high PR and the current PA and DA score Moz gives. Now it could be Moz that is inaccurate because PA and DA is inaccurate but still worthy of attention as a rough estimate. "Moz cannot handle indexing the internet - not like Google can - so again its only good for a rough estimate." So based on PA and DA the directory is not high authority - its medium at best. I would pay more attention to PA and DA than PR these days.

                    3. Now things get really tricky ... You got to really be careful with such lists. For instance, the very 1st one on the list: URL Directing

As you land on the page you will see "latest links" and a list of latest links. Lets just pretend PR is 100% accurate. The home page with latest links will have that high PR, but where do the links go after they leave the latest links widget? They get buried in an abyss of links therefore losing almost all or even all PR equity. If this holds true with the 1st directory on the list, then the directory is worthless.

Now that first directory on the list starts to smell real fishy because I cant even find a way to research the real home of links submitted ... I can only find "latest links." I imagine I could find it still but it should be an easy find and its not = fishy. Just know that you have to determine the end home for your link and investigate that page it self.

Conclusion = I am sure the list of directories has "some" value, somewhere??, but you must really research each directory one by one to make an accurate conclusion.

thank you Daniel Lezcano, I really appreciate your advice.

I came up to here buy investing a lot, my project is kind of a "big deal thing", and funding may grow, 6k is not all I will invest, its just for 1 year. Problem is that till now I was the expert, I build the website and I can guarantee that is the best in the market. But now I do not have a lot of experience for off-side. I have done a lot of work in on-side optimization and everything is gr8 so far, keyword optimization, schema.org, accelerated mobile page, page speed, UI, etc.

To go in partnership with someone, yeah its great idea too but the question is can I find people who are ready to invest 1-3 years till we got what we want.

Anyhow thank you one more time!

On site SEO is the easy stuff really. The off-site work is hardest and most valuable. Really its like this, on-site is the foundation. Of-site is the actual house. Without the foundation the house is worthless, but no one thinks "great foundation!" when looking at a house. Its a given that the foundation is great - or better be.

When I say "partnerships" I mean partnering with Non-Profits. Here's the extreme example ...

Imagine if you could partner with the Red Cross for fundraising and appear on their partnership page with a link to your site. That would be a great link! ... just one example.

      Heres another.

One of my clients has family that suffers from MS. On the National Multiple Sclerosis Society site there are numerous ways to get involved and score links, but its serious work. So be it the importance of PR work, and the obvious correlation between his family suffering from MS, its something my guy can stand behind, and finally the links - its a great fit.

Again though, I'm just giving you examples of the kind of thought and creativity people should put into scoring quality back-links the right way - the way that definitely works.

    Hi Krenari

You can take some of you budget to pay someone to do links on blog post for you.

I normaly search Google for [keyword] "comments" "blog"

These blogs already rank on Google page 1 and have strong backlinks

This gives you lots of opportunity for posting good quality links

Then as mentioned in a previous reply I think paying a couple of directories to do links for you is a good idea as well.

  • If you want to rank in local search result or want more traffic local seo/citaiton is another great way..

    Follow those steps.
    - add your business in top local site.
    - add your business in niche site from brightlocal.
    - use yext.com tools to see the existing report of your business.
    - add your business in some city or state wise directories.
    - keep all information clean, will fix the error if there exist.

I can help with it if you want.

    Hi Krenari,

Looks like you have two choices. Either you go by the blackhat way or whitehat way.

If you are serious about your site and want to turn it into an authority site, then you have to spend TIME, EFFORT and money to achieve that.

By making your site an authority site, you never have to worry about any Google updates or penalties.

Build backlinks the whitehat way from authority sites or sites Google can trust is crucial.

It will boil down to having great content and getting links from other authority sites. It is hard work all the way.

I would recommend the following sites:-

There are tons of good tactics and strategies to implement.

    Hope this helps.

The SEO often creates a value proposition by explaining to the link target why creating the link is in their best interest. Examples include filling out forms for submissions to a website award program or convincing a professor that your resource is worthy of inclusion on the public syllabus.

These links offer the lowest value, but can, in the aggregate, still have an impact for some sites. In general, search engines continue to devalue most of these types of links, and have been known to penalize sites that pursue these links aggressively. Today, these types of links are often considered spammy and should be pursued with caution.

Those are out of date methods. Basically those were far to easy for anyone to get, so it made the ranking system inaccurate because everyone was an authority ... lol. Google made changes mostly having to do with ...

I'll give you the foundation knowledge involved with today's method.

      1. First and foremost you need to understand what "follow" and "nofollow" tags are.

The internet is crawled 24/7 365 by bots mapping everything out and analyzing content. But when they get to a link that has a "nofollow" tag on it they do not continue down that path. All of the links you mentioned are "nofollows." The result is there is no equity to be had from such links.

The general rule of thumb is if its user submitted, its a no-follow link; makes sense right? If a user can submit a link that will count for them, then anyone can achieve high authority and the entire system breaks.

Now some "user-submitted" stuff ends up being a follow link, but look again - these links are often from a source that is administered by humans that review the content ensuring the content is legit. So in that sense its not just the user that submits, there's an application and review process that helps ensure trust; therefore, such links can be follows.

However, you want to also learn how to look at the code and make the determination yourself as well. This will serve you well as you go on investigating potential backlink equity. It looks like this:

      rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://youtu.be/y1tpusD9UwA</a>

So look at the source code "right click page, go to source code" and Crtrl F typing the word "follow" and see what you find.

However, be aware. You wont always find a no "nofollow" tag on a page that has "nofollow" links. This happens mostly in the comment sections of blogs and for instance Youtube comment section. That's all handled deeper in the code where the entire section of comments is simply rendered irrelevant.

There is a lot more to it, but that is a solid foundation to work from.

The fact that the number of large link will help boost your site rankings. If you ever make link from low quality sources, easy to make (for example from the forum) or did you ever buy link, you will see they have brought the value (rise in the rankings). So why don't we make the build link from these sources that back it takes the engine link from the reputable website, places which are very rarely for the latest link.
The rankings are not permanent and are changing with increasing speed
The fact that you can manipulate Google's search results table (you can manipulate Google) as well as other search engines to rank good even if your content is not relevant to the keyword search. But:
You can not keep forever this ranking
If Google were discovered, your website will be completely wiped from their database and your customers won't be able to find you on Google (website removed from Google's index).
Google is and continue to invest heavily on the optimal algorithm to return the best results, the most relevant to users. A link building strategy too can effective in today but will be discovered and lost in value tomorrow. Google's use of billions of DOLLARS each year to pursue this goal and as a result each year search algorithms are updated on the 500 (500 + algorithm)

In summary, you should remember the following:
    - Google can be manipulated with a lot of easy links, but the results don't last and it's extremely risky
    - You may be able to increase the rankings by a large number of low-quality link, but this result was long ago, at the same time extremely risky.
    - Put the link on the website good not only brings a good link for you, it has to bring in traffic, as well as build credibility for your brand
    - The safest building strategy, bring about long-term efficiency and saves much effort, money is the most recent link on the website.

    Hope this helps !

I think the best advice I can give you is to try your link-building only from sites that are "alive". I mean, real websites with reasonably regular updates or reasonably fresh articles, videos or whatever. If the site was last updated in 2012, it's not really worth much now.

Please, do yourself a favour and stay away from what most "SEO services" will offer you. In 2007 you could get rankings with 600 bookmarking websites. We are a decade past from that now. A handful is OK (let's say a dozen strong directories), but anything beyond that is a waste of time.

    Dear Kenari,
When you mention "Best Design", "Best Content" then you should be among Best and you should get a good ranking with many keywords in Google and the rest of search engines.

The fact is most of us believe we are "The Best" but we should ask visitors and sometimes Google Analytics the same question.

Link building is still effective only if you have the best content to impress people. If your content is just Brilliant because you think so then do not spend time looking to get link building service. Because you will get the worst service and experience.

Can i Buy the best links? - Why not? Who said purchasing a link is bad? - Forget what SEO gurus tell, "I am really honest" - But ... But.. Buy link from a website which has good content. Your next strategy will be Buying a good blog post, or even a website which has good content so then you can curate and use the content to creat links.

Social Media: Try to use Facebook and Twitter ad solutions, they can also create some nice traffic to your site, and they are super affordable if you know how to manage ads with their platform.

I would hire bloggers, Only Good Ones! and then use a content marketing platform to post and promote content on buzz feed, etc...

These are my suggestions. Googe Luck!

Write Quality content and promote it as well. That's the best way to get quality back links.

Your content needs to be unique as well. So look for something in your niche that no one has written about and right about it.

Then promote it as much as possible.

    Krenari,

For the love of everything right skip sinking your money into directory links - including any of the names mentioned _ you are not going to get any traffic to speak of from that and the link value for the buck is seldom worth it.

Do out reach to bloggers. Quite a few of them sell guest posts for starting at like $60 and none will ever know because they don't advertise it on their sites. You will get both traffic and links. In some cases the traffic will pay for it.

In all my years of doing SEO and especially the last 4 years I have never seen a site ranking well on directory links. I have seen many sites ranking on links from various blogs and other kind of websites.

I think its better not to buy links. You need to focus on good content related to your marketing and promote it. Its quality work not quantity work.

Buying Paid links for link building is not a bad technique technically but as far as google is concerned it is getting smarter and smarter but 2 things are damn sure
(1)Google will always continue considering backlinks
(2)Google is not God who knows everything, it's a machine and work scientifically and people are able to make links damn equal to natural links.

Always remember, backlinks must be from relevant niche or else google will penalize

The best method of link building is profile linking.Profile linking is also one of the important method used in link building. Using profile linking we can create a backlink for the site. In profile link, you simply add your website's URL to a personal, professional or any business profile, which you create on different sites. These profiles can also be created on forums, social media sites or any other kind of websites.

If it is the "best" method, then why is Google targeting that kind of unnatural link building with the penguin algorithm?
